Will Webroot ever offer native or default HTTP and HTTPS scanning without having to install filtering extensions as is currently required? ESET scans all HTTP and HTTPS traffic by default so you do not need to use filtering extensions or any other toolbar with them, any browser you use is protected.
Isn't native HTTP, HTTPS scanning a better way to do things and shouldn't Webroot should incorporate it?

Hi Ocotillo
Welcome to the Community Forums.
Whilst I am sure that other security application authors have their reasons for handling HTTP and HTTPS scanning the way they I am sure that Webroot have a very good reason of their own for the root that they have taken.;)
After all Webroot where the first to leverage the Cloud and come up with an entirely cloud-based solution...something that we are seeing is increasingly being copied by the competition.
Having said that you pose a great question and I am wondering if either ? would be able to step in and provide some more details response or perhaps our most excellent Community Manager (he who can do all) ? might be able to get an answer on this for us?
