I replaced Vipre security suite with Webroot. Vipre required the Windows 7 (Professional, 64-bit) firewall to be turned off, Webroot requires it to be turned on. I comletely uninstalled Vipre before installing Webroot. Now, when my computer boots, I get a notification that the Windows firewall is turned off, and must manually bring up the control panel and turn it on. What can I do to reset Windows firewall to start automatically?
When I go to a particular web site (http://www.advisorperspectives.com/), I see an obviously hacked page with flashing "ads" that try to get me to download a virus (e.g. "Your download speed is low. Click here to fix it"). This only happens on Firefox on Windows - it does not happen on IE or Chrome, nor does it happen on Firefox on Ubuntu Linux. I've been working with the website owner for two days now, and we can find nothing wrong with their server, and I'm the only one reporting the problem. I've run a Webroot scan and one using IObit Malware Fighter, with no problems reported. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. No one seems to know what to do next. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
For the answer to 1. please see this Microsoft article; it should provide you with all the information you require.
In terms of 2. when I try the link that you have provided I get:
But when I use http://www.advisorperspectives.com/ I get through to the site with no issues as you have described be it under FF, Chrome or IE.
So is this still a problem for you are not. Please advise either way and then if required we can look to help further.
