I have installed Webroot on 2 computers in my home, will the 3rd when my son gets his Christmas present. I was under the impression that it removed and blocked adware. I was just on the internet and adware popped up. :-(  Any assistance is appreciated.
Internet pop-ups are not adware, Webroot is not designed as a pop-up blocker. Please install a modern browser like Firefox or Chrome and install a free pop-up blocker like adblock or ad-blockplus.
Thank you. I am currently on Firefox. Weird. I'll see what I need to adjust.
Hello there!

WSA is top notch Malware protection, but it does not, as noted, block pop ups.  Web sites that serve pop up ads will still show, but as Rakanisheu noted there are pop up blockers that work quite well.

Actually, it was only around a month ago I finally got around do installing one myself, and the results have been incredible.  I love it.  Take a look at TripleHelix's reply HERE with some suggested blockers for IE, Chrome and Firefox.
Hi diamondmama

May I add to the above by suggesting the use of AdBlock Edge rather than AdBlock Plus.  I find the protection with the former just as good as the latter but with the former running lighter.  This is just my personal view and either will do a good job.

And if yo are tempted by using Chrome or a Chrome-based derivative browser then yo will find the same requirement/you will also need an ad blocker, in which case I recommend neither of the above but in that case I would go for uBlock...a new kid on the block but again in my humble opinion, better & lighter than the AdBlock group.

Hope that this is of assistance?

Regards, Baldrick
