Good morning.  I keep receiving emails from Amazon which appear to be legitimate since they deal with purchases I recently made over the past 24 hours.  However, the email message appears with the "attachment" icon listed but no attachment is included in the message.  Just wondered if this is a hack situation or not.  Of course, all I did was open the message but did not click on any links inside the message.  Do I need to worry about this situation?  WSA scan did not identify any issues.  Amazon said they do not send out messages with attachments.  What should I do, if anything, at this stage?  Thanks for your help.
Hello there, welcome to the Community!

As it happens, I made a small purchase on Amazon this week, and all of the emails regarding it show an attachment as well.  Guess what?  No file was attached.  Why?  Probably because Amazon is using images and links in the email regarding your purchase that are identified as an attachment.

You should be just fine.  :)
Thanks David.  Stuff like this just freaks me out.  I appreciate the quick reply.  I also received a customer service email reply from David at Amazon this morning after we chatted.  Guess what - his email message to me also included the attachment icon.  So, what you say seems to confirm it.
You are most welcome!

I think it is how they add links to the images... not sure to be honest, but glad that everything is OK!
