When attempting to open IE 8.1 a msg from Internet Explorer Security appears telling me a website wants to open web content using "csc.exe" outside of the protected mode. When I hit "Don't Allow" it keeps popping up and I can't open IE?? What should I do??

Hello,and welcome.

That sounds like Microsoft.net framework.Should be safe.It also looks like you are running IE in Enhanced protected mode. Some things don't function well with that enabled. If you choose, you can disable enhanced protected mode by selecting internet options>advanced>uncheck enable enhanced protected mode>click apply>reboot. You should no longer see that prompt.

Thanks for your help...Much appreciated! although my advanced protection mode was unchecked based on your recommendation I finally said OK to the request to using the program csc.exe. My IE appears to be back to normal now... thanks again!!
