As far as I know, the iTunes site e.g.  https://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/  has no currently reported security issues, and the the iTunes files are encrypted in transit. 

 

Where did you hear that there is no firewall in place there?

 

Please let us know of your concerns or any info you have, or questions.

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

As far as I know there has never been a firewall feature or component in iTunes. iTunes has always been secured by whatever security software the user has on their system.
