When I started my computer this morning I notice that my web root antivirus had a red exclamation mark saying that my license had expired but when I accessed my account it said that I have 29 more days left. Any ideas why is doing that?
Hello dcer4006, welcome to the Webroot Community!

If you were to renew, would your renewal be directly through Webroot or is your copy a Best Buy Subsription Software version?
Hello,

Thanks for the quick response. I always renew my subscription trough the Weebroot website; this will actually be my third time doing it. I just did not understand the message saying that it was expired when I still had a month left.

I don't really know why is is showing that either, but I had to know how you renew to know who to refer you to.  :)  In this case, since you renew directly through Webroot, you should submit a Trouble Ticket with Webroot Support to take a look.

Something like this is rare, very rare, but it is no completely unheard of either.  Let us know how things go with Support!

David,

I will do that thanks for your help.
Hello and welcome to the Webroot Community!

That's a notification of expiry 30 days before and is normal you can renew anytime as they will add the remaining days to your renewal. http://www.webroot.com/En_US/SecureAnywhere/PC/WSA_PC_Help.htm#C12_MyAccount/CH11c_UpgradingRenewing.htm

Thanks,

Daniel 😉

It probably IS as Daniel says, the renewal due notification.  I did see one or two cases over the last week however that the software really did expire/turn off too early and needed assistance of Support.  Take a close look at your settings to make sure that all of your shields are still turned ON.

During the normal warning period the shields will be ON.

If you are affected by a bug causing it to report as really expired too early, the shields will be OFF.

To check simply open WSA

Look at the right side under PC Security.  Are the shields ON or OFF?
