Personal security report web page should be encrypted

I retrieved my Webroot personal security report in my web browser by picking a button in a Webroot popup on my laptop. This report also shows my license keycode. Since this url (http://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/resources/security-report?key=26DA...) is not encrypted, it should not show any personal information, particularly my license keycode. This page should always be encrypted and use https.

Hi EricP

Welcome to the Community Forums.

I think that you will find that unless it is actually you that is clicking the link then it will not work. As an experiment I tried the link and all I got was a banner page stating that my Personalised Security Report is not ready/available as yet...so I am thinking that your details are quite safe in terms of who can see them as things stand. ;)

And that is the reason why I did not snip the URL you posted...but would have if I had found that you details were openly available. ;)

Good point about why the link is HTTP rather than HTTPS...but I suspect that there is a reason for that and that perhaps the good folks at Webroot might be able to explain this for us.  ?, would you be able to come to our aid with respect to this question?

Many thanks in anticipation.

Regards, Baldrick
