I received an email today with an old password in the subject line. They wanted 200 bitcoin or they would expose my porn preferences to my associates.  I knew it was a ruse since I don't have a video camera on my desktop, which is what they threatened to expose.  Still weirded me out to see an old password in the subject line.  I deleted it and scanned for malware.

Hello @Jimbobillybob

It’s a scam and it’s best not to click on any links an just delete the email. It’s a very common scam: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=They+wanted+200+bitcoin+or+they+would+expose+my+porn+preferences+to+my+associates

Thanks,

@Jimbobillybob ,

It’s very likely that this person bought a large data-set of passwords from an old data-leak. That’s probably how they have one of your old passwords. You made the right choice by ignoring it!
