I renewed my Webroot a few days ago and I still have a red exclamation mark over a grey icon. When I open it, the background is orange and it says it's protected but it's orange though. What does this mean and should I be concerned?
Hello @,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Please have a look here at the PC User Guide to view your protection status. Red means one or more of your critical items need your attention.

That orange background & exclamation mark usually indicates that a scan is needed, or that one of the protection components is turned off. Have you clicked scan? it is most likely the latter. If it were the main realtime shield (the shield that scans files as they are created and opened), then it would be a red background; so it's probably one of the other shields. Can you open your Webroot interface. and in the column on the right, check to see if all the "switches" are turned on? If so, then go ahead and click on the next item in the column named "identity protection". Are any of those turned off? If a switch is red that indicates it is turned off.

Hope this helps and if not please get back to us.

Kind Regards,

I have ran multiple scans throughout the day for the past few days and no threats are detected.

As for the latter, almost everything has a green check.  Everything is on under PC Security and Identity Protection.  Backup and Sync has a blue icon with a plus sign in it.  The only thing that does not have a green check mark next to it is My Account which has a yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark.

I did go a few days without any protection from webroot because the subscription ended.  I did renew it though for a year.
Hello @,

Did you renew Webroot with a new keycode?  And did you activate the new keycode as shown below?

Please open Webroot, click the Gear Icon next to "My Account" and input your new keycode.

To activate a new keycode:

  1. Open SecureAnywhere (see Using the SecureAnywhere interface).
  2. Click the gear icon next to My Account. Your account panel displays.http://www.webroot.com/En_US/SecureAnywhere/PC/Content/Resources/Images/MyAccountDetails.png
  3. Under Activate a new keycode, enter the keycode you want to add and click Activate.

Also please look here on Adding a Keycode into the Console.

I did renew Webroot with a new keycode. I purchased and entered it on the same day.  I just re-entered twice right now to make sure.  During both scans, the icon and background of the console were both green.  There was also a green checkmark on My Account.  After the scan, it reverted back to the previous status like I mentioned above (red exclamation mark/ orange console).  No threats were detected in both scans and I've never had an infected scan before.
