I am receiving a reliability error that is telling me the SecureAnywhere stopped workng multiple times last evening ( New Years Eve) beginning at 12:47 a.m. and continuing until 1:45.  I am not concerned about the potential access to my system as I was not hooked up to the net durgin this time.  Is this the reason for SecureAnywhere to fail ?
Hi Joseph1973

Happy New Year...and welcome to the Community Forums.

I have not heard of that specific issue but have heard of issues where WSA messages are written to the Event Log...so this is potentially the same issue.

Firstly, would you also check as to which version of WSA you are running. The version with the fix in is v9.0.7.46. To check which version you have the quickest things is to hover your cursor ofver the WSA notification tray icon which should cause a bubble, with the information in it, to be displayed.

If you verison is not v9.0.7.46 then it is most likely that the 'push' of the update has not reached you yet, and in that case you can try to get the update manually by right clicking on the notification tray icon and selecting 'Check for updates' from the context menu displayed. That may not find anything to download so try it a few times over a few hours.

If yo are already on v9.0.7.46 then the next thing to try is an unistall/clean reinstall of WSA...which is quite quick and easy to do. If you would like to then please follow these instructions:

  • Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and do NOT import any settings if so offerred by the installer; you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
If that does not solve the reliability error (you may need to give your system some time after the reinstall to see if it generates further messages) please Open a Support Ticket and get the Support Team to check it out for you. This is free of charge service for WSA users with an active subscription.

Hope that helps?

Thank you Balrick !  A few things I have noticed.......  since I became aware of the reliability issue, the the version has updated as you pointed out and that may have been the reason for the issue.  Also, since the version update, i've had no further issues and have to presume that, because my pc was off-line, no update could be completed ansd that was the reason for the failure.  All is well now  and, again, thanks so much.
