Someone hijacked my Daughter-in-laws email account. They then sent an email to me under her name with a link that I opened. Will Webroot protect me from being hijacked?

Yep, we should protect you against malicious attachments.  I'm assuming your Webroot scan shows up as clean?  If you're still unsure, you can always contact our support and they'll double-check for you:
