I received an email today stating for security reasons I need to reset my password. There is a link there also. Is this a legitimate WebRoots email?

Hello there, welcome to the Community!
I have not recieved any such email today, so I do not know if it is legit or not.
If you are worried and want to change your password, please do NOT use any links on that email. Log into your Account Console and change the password in there, using that link to the Console. Then click your email address at the upper right corner and select Account Settings in the drop down.
You can change your password, and other account information, there.
I hope this helps!

Hi tharzill
Welcome to the Community Forums.
I personally have not heard of this happening but that does not mean to say that it could not or never happen and be legitimate. One can never be too careful these days with this sort of thing and therefore I would Open a Support Ticket and query this with the Support Team, as if anyone would have issued the email then it would be them.
Regards, Baldrick

Hi tharzill
No worries...you are most welcome. And I have to say again that when it comes to protecting oneself one can never be too careful and it is always bestto go slow/double and even triple check everything...and if in doubt...ask...just like you did. :D
