Is anyone else having trouble logging into the console this morning? I logged in to check the scan log. It wouldn’t open and I got this message: Error(SEL004): Console cannot be opened, please contact Webroot support.

 

I did put in a support ticket. I just want to see if anyone else is having this experience. I tried both Chrome and Edge and another computer.

Please note that the legacy Webroot portal has been deprecated as of January 2026 and is no longer supported. Access to legacy portal functionality is no longer available, and account management must now be completed through the new My Account portal.

In March 2022, a new My Account portal was released for all Carbonite customers and newer Webroot customers. This new portal allows you to manage both Carbonite and Webroot products in one place.

You can sign in to the new My Account portal at: 
https://myaccount.webroot.com/

If you need assistance setting up your My Account portal, please refer to the following article for step‑by‑step instructions here

If you continue to experience issues accessing your account through the new My Account portal, please reply with additional details, including any error messages you may be receiving, and we will be happy to assist further.

Yes I see issues as you said with this Portal: https://identity.webrootanywhere.com/v1/Account/login I don’t know about the other: https://account.webroot.com/account/logon?

Per Tech Support (Basically what you mentioned.):

We have checked with our console developers, and they confirmed the cause of the error. The error is not due to an outage. Instead, it was a planned deprecation of the portal for Consumer customers.

The Webroot Identity Portal is a legacy portal for customers with a Consumer license. It has seen very low traffic from Consumers in the over the past twelve months, and it is predominantly used by customers with Enterprise licenses. Additionally, a new Consumer portal (<a href = "https://account.webroot.com/account/logon?ReturnUrl=%2f" target = "_blank">account.webroot.com</a>) was launched in August, 2024.

Between August and September of 2025, customers were migrated from the legacy portal to the new portal, while leaving the legacy portal still accessible for Amazon, Best Buy, and other retail customers who are not required to create a Webroot account for activation. Since then, Amazon, Best Buy, and other retail customers were urged to make the migration as well.

With the migration being completed in mid-December, the console developers scheduled the legacy portal's deprecation for January 2026. We apologize for the inconvenience and recommend you use the new <a href = "https://account.webroot.com/account/logon?ReturnUrl=%2f" target = "_blank">customer portal</a> going forward.

 

But I can’t go to the Tech suppor portal. Is there no longer a scan log online?

Scan Logs are never online just click on the Webroot Tray Icon and Click Save a Scan Log.
