Webroot Internet Security Essentials
Is Webroot Internet Security Essentials something I should not want on my computer? I'm not sure it is a real Webroot product but a virus of somekind.

The "Security Essentials" product is the 2012, or possibly earlier, version of Webroot. It is a genuine Webroot product but it is no longer supported.
