When I try to copy something to a flash, it looks like it copied. Then a short time later... all of the files turn in to short cuts. Webroot isn't picking up on something... but I'm a bit worried. Or is it just some random setting somewhere? This hasn't happened before.
I tried a word document, mp3 file, and a photo file. They all do the same thing... on a USB flash and a SD card.
Just wrote "Run" in the start menu and hit enter and got this...

Hello jesusdied4you2,
Welcome to the Community!
Maybe you have a virus in the USB flash drive and that could cause your files to be changed to short cuts. A virus can get into the HD, USB drive, and memory. Can you right click on your flash drive and scan with Webroot . Please do another webroot scan to be sure.
You might want to reformat that usb flash drive.
Then again you might have some bad PUAs that need to be cleaned up.
If you continue to have problems then you can Contact Support free of change with an active subscription.
EDIT: The shortcut you are referring to is Webroot shortcut
@ do you have anything to add here?
I'd appreciate any feedback on your progress of this matter so that we can help others as well.
Best Regards,
