I am receiving as many as 45 unwanted e-mail ads per day. Doesn't webroot stop those from coming in? I need help with this issue. What to do?

Hello there, welcome to the Community
Webroot is an anti-virus anti-malware program, and so it WILL scan emails as you read them and protect you from any dangerous attachments and links, but it does not block emails. AV software does not block email, nor can it as it has no control over who clicks send on a mass email with your address on it.
Most modern email programs today have the ability for you to click on an email and mark it as spam. Doing so will help teach your email system what items are spam and which are not, and so it will do better and better at funelling the spam to a spam folder, but no program actually blocks it, at least not any that I trust.. You see, you STILL should review what is in the Spam folder, daily, in case items have been id'd incorrectly and important email ends up in there. It happens, all the time.
I hope this helps,
Edit: ? you are always a good source of utilities.. do you know of any sort of mail filtering utility that actually works, and is trustworthy to NOT send needed email to the 'bit bucket'?

Hi David
I may well do...and would be happy to share with SAnderson, via private message (PM) of course, so as not to actively promote non Webroot software, etc. ;)
Regards, Baldrick
