why does my computer scan not run when I boot up. I have a 3am daily scheduled planned with the box that says scan upon boot up if the computer is off.  I typically shut down my computer every night and not plugged in.  When I boot up the next day I expect the scna to automatically start since my computer was shut off at 3am but that does not happen,  I have to manually hit the scan my computer button.  The geek squad saw nothing wrong but the uninstalled and reinstall webroot yesterday.  Nothing changed upon boot up.  The computer did not scan.  This is a month old computer.  It has done this from the beginning.  FYI if the computer is in sleep mode the scan does run.

Help.  Is this normal?

BTW this is for Webroot SecureAnywhere- Internet Security  (NOT PLUS) but that was not listed as a location.
Hello Bradley,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Would you open up Webroot by right clicking on the system tray, View Status/Advanced Settings. In the ;eft lower corner of the menu can you Reset to Defaults? Then see if Webroot scans on bootup? This is the default settings. Have you tried that already? here is the PC User Guide about Scanning. I don't think Webroot will actually scan in Sleep Mode.

Let us know if this didn't help and we can look for other alternatives.
Did you check if the setting "randomise the time of scheduled scans" isn't selected? You could temporarely unset it and then see what happens. Check image below. But you could also change the scheduled time to match a time where your machine is on.
