windows 10 and webroot
I upgraded to windows 10, it shows webroot secure anywhere, but says it's disabled. Windows defender is turned on, but it won't let me enable webroot. When I hit the webroot icon, it let me do a scan and optimization, but I don't know if it is actually doing anything since the security says it's disabled. I upgraded on my laptop, but it is also being installed on my desktop (windows 10). My subscription is about to expire, and I don't know whether to renew it or not. I'm worried about having windows defender as my only security. Please help, Joyce

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Is the notification tray icon for WSA ('W' in a circle) is GREEN then WSA is enabled and protecting you and it is the fact that Windows Defender is enabled that is preventing WSA from being identified as protecting your system. This is a known issue and my recommendation would be that you disable Windows Defendewr as with WSA running you have all the protection that you need and all that Windows Defender does is to add drag to your system.
If you require assistance in displabling Windows Defender please post back and we can look to assisting with that.

Thank you so much, Baldrick. Right now the WSA icon is grey with a red and white exclamation point, but I think it's because my subscription is about to expire. I did try turning off windows defender, but the wsa icon stayed the same color. When I click on the icon wsa says it is protecting my computer, hopefully it is working. I just wanted to be sure before I renew my wsa. Thank you so much for your help, love this sight. Joyce

Thanks for the feedback...and you are most welcome. It definitely sounds like you have protection from WSA...but to double check, double click the notification tray icon and in the main app panel displayed check what the status is in the top left hand corner.
A Red tray icon usually means that one or more critical items require your intervention, and an expiring subscription si, I believe, classed as critical (especially if you are within 30 days of the expiry date).
