I just installed a new epson-4760 to replace an epson artisan printer on windows 10.

When I print a page, it takes like 5 minutes to print one line.

If i shutdown webroot, it prints immediately with no issues.

I’ve installed and uninstalled the printer several times with webroot up and with webroot shutdown.  When webroot is up i run into the delays. When webroot is off, it flies.

What’s strange though is the scanner software has no issue connecting and scanning from the same printer regardless of webroot on or off?

Any ideas. ???

Hello @john_h12 and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

Yes there are issues with the current release v9.0.27.49 so can you please do a clean reinstall and it will put you back to build v9.0.26.61 until they have a new fixed build and it should fix your issue.

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • Be sure you add your Keycode to your Online Console: Webroot SecureAnywhere Online Console
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Geek Squad Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and DO NOT import any old settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again

Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

Thanks,

thank-you ..

yes that worked..

  1. I copied the key
  2. shut webroot down
  3. un-installed webroot
  4. check that the printer did print as expected
  5. rebooted  to pc to be safe..
  6. checked the print-out again
  7. re-installed webroot
  8. reprinted again

A little frustrating but now all works and all is good..

thanks
