website rating temporary unavailable

I installed Webroot AV 3 weeks ago. Everything was fine until the website rating stopped working the next day. I tried to fix the problem but failed. Today, I finally uninstalled then reinstalled the program hoping to solve the problem and it did for 2 hrs. Now I'm back where I started, website rating not working.

When it was working I get a green circle informing me that the website I'm about to go to is ok but right now I get a gray circle and when I hover over it I get this "Rating temporarily unavailable. We are working to restore service. No user action is necessary."

Any Ideas how to solve this problem? Please help. Thank you.

I have a Dell Optiplex 990 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. I also have Malwarebytes AM Premium installed allong with Webroot AV.

Hello jTab,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Would you mind uninstalling/reinstalling Webroot again with these instructions? I know you already have but you might of missed a step below:

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again

Now if this does not help then it's best to Submit a Support Ticket free of charge with your Webroot subscription. So that they can document that this is occuring.

Hope this helps?

Hi Sherry,

Thank you very much.  I did my first uninstallation/reinstallation of the software exactly the way how you recommended it.  I did it again for the second time but again, no bueno.

I also installed Webroot AV on my brother's laptop (I got the 3 devices version) and it's working just fine.

I will wait until the weekend and if I still have the problem then I will submit a support ticket. Once again, thank you very much.

Hello jTab

Oh you are most welcome. I am sorry that this uninstall/reinstall did not fix your issues.Would you tell me what Browser you are using? May I ask if you have checked your browser extensions to see if the Webfliter is enabled? Also is this happeniong in all your browsers?

But I do think Support needs to be aware of this so please let us know the outcome!

Thanks

Hi Sherry,

I'm using Chrome Web Browser.  Webfilter is enabled in browser extensions and I'm only using Chrome in this machine. I will install Firefox Web Browser to see if it's any different but I rather use Chrome in this machine.  Thanks much.
