I'll have you and your wife in my prayers. Keep the positive attitude and hope - I think it can be more powerful than many medicines that are prescribed. :D

Hello Dave, my friend, my thoughts are with you and your wife and I wish you both all the best in fighting such nasty disease. Stay in positive mood and enjoy your live together and the battle will surely be won. As I know truck drivers (I have a few friends among them) they are very tough guys and girls who never give up and I know that you and your wife are of the same nature.

Dave,

Thank you for updating us with the latest on your health! We all miss you here on the Community forums! I'm really glad to hear your blood work remains the same and I am really sorry to hear about your wife's recent health issue. As you say, hopefully it's just an adverse reaction to the new medication. The Community team is here for you and we wish you strength and courage.Stay postive and stay strong!  I will keep you both in my prayers! :D

Sincerely,

I'd like to thank the Webroot Community for your support on my wife's condition. All of the blood work tests, CT Scans and many other tests have been done and the results: She has a CLEAN Bill of Health. :D
Her condition was caused by a Very Bad Adverse reaction to the new medication. Thank you again Webroot Community for your Support. :D

Thank you Daniel and all community members for your support. As most know that the healthcare in the United States is a mess. Some of our military benefits have been lost. Our family doctor does a blood test on my wife and I once a year that costs $2,000.00 each. This test tells everything and I mean everything that is going on in your body. We just had the last of this special blood test about 2 weeks ago from our family doctor because the military insurance (Government) is not covering it anymore. We are glad to know that the blood work for both of us is looking good, with the exception of me on some results with cancer which is to be expected.
I see my cancer doctor in November for blood work. I see him every 6 months now instead of every 3 months. My last visit was in May. The doctor said no change in the blood work. No change with CLL is excellent news. I'm learning to live with it. I feel good some days and other days not so good. My energy level has dropped, I don't know if that's the CLL or just getting old or maybe both. When I see the cancer doctor they take 4 tubes of blood every visit. This November he said they will do the full test again, about 18 - 22 tubes. My wife goes with me on that test so she can drive home.
Thank you again members for your Support. 😃

I will continue to pray for you hun.
You just keep surviving!

I just know that you can beat this thing if you put all your strength into it.
May god be with you and yours through it all.

Please take care and I'm sure you are as strong as you can be with enduring this!

Hi Dave

Hearing your story I sometimes think that we, in the UK with a National Health Service that we do complain about, do not know how lucky we are...I think that more should perhaps hear about what you both have to endure.

Have been on the periphery but have been following yours and your Wife good fight...and just want to drop by and wish you both the best going forward, and hoping that the prognosis continunes to go in the right direction.

Wishing you both well and the best.

Regards, Baldrick

Dave, hope you don't mind if a stranger posts (and a newbie at that!).  Can't know what you are going through but want to share what I said to my sisters when they faced breast cancer (one was just featured in the Orlando Sentinal for her second cancer bout).  It's good to be reminded that cancer today represents a battle--and one that we often win.  We may not cure it but thank God, we are LIVING with it.  Another family member with a rare head and neck cancer remains at stage four but is about to pass the big five year mark.

It sounds like you are coping well but what you said about fatigue and flu symptoms touched me and that moved me to abandon shyness and write.  The symptoms of RA are similar.  Energy is a fleeting thing I ration for tasks before I shut down.  Sometimes hard to say what is more frustrating: putting aside something I am passionate about or losing touch with friends.  That's why it is so wise of you to reach out and keep others in the loop.

My very best wishes and prayers,
practicality a.k.a Dawn

Thank you Webroot Community for your thoughts and prayers. Yesterday I had my 6 month appointment with the Oncologist. My blood work is the same, no change. The Oncologist stated "Looking Good". I had concerns about some of the blood count readings and he stated that he had 2 more patients to see, if I would stay after he seen the other patients he would go over All my blood work count with me and explain each one. The Doctor explained every reading on my blood count on what the numbers mean and how they effect the body. There were about 30 readings he went over and it took about 2 hours because of all the details. My Wife and I learned a lot in those 2 hours. My concern was what I have read on the internet about the readings. The Doctor stated, "Don't believe everything you read on the internet". So everything is the same and looking good, I see the Doctor in another 6 months. Thank you Members for your support. 😃
