I have opened up a case with Webroot support, but I thought I'd post something here as well.
Has anyone noticed the latest version of Webroot SecureAnywhere for Mac (9.0.7.44: 775) scanning mounted drives (ie...Time Machine Backups) regardless of the "Scan mounted drives" setting in Advanced Settings --> Scan options being unchecked?
I have tried removing and reinstalling both the traditional way (shutting down SecureAnywhere and dragging the application to the trash prompting the uninstall) and through the terminal (sudo /usr/local/bin/WSDaemon -u ).
Has anyone else noticed this? I have three High Sierra Macs all doing the same thing. It started with this version of SecureAnywhere.

Hi,
The fix is released to the public. Due to the nature of updating, some machines will update sooner and some will update later.
If you have not received the update yet, you can get on the newest version sooner by uninstalling and reinstalling. If you want to do this, make sure you write down your keycode before uninstalling if you don't have it on record.
To find your keycode:

Please go into MY Account within the Webroot GUI and Check for Updates and you should get the new version that solves this issue! Please look here for more info on the latest version: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Product-Releases/Product-Update-Mac-Version-9-0-7-50/td-p/315208
If that doesn't work you can try a clean reinstall:
To uninstall Webroot SecureAnywhere, follow the instructions below.
- Shut down SecureAnywhere by clicking the Webroot icon http://sw.nohold.net/Webroot/Images/wsa_icon.png in the menu bar and selecting Shut Down SecureAnywhere.

If prompted, confirm that you want to shut down SecureAnywhere.
- Open the Finder by clicking the Finder icon http://sw.nohold.net/Webroot/Images/mac_finder_icon.png in the dock.
- Open the Applications directory.

A confirming window appears. Click Uninstall.

Webroot SecureAnywhere is now uninstalled. There is no need to restart your computer.
You can install SecureAnywhere on Mac OS X 10.7 and above. An Internet connection is required to install the software.
To install the software:
- Click here to download the SecureAnywhere installer to your Mac. Or Click here if you have the Best Buy Geek Squad Subscription service.
- Double-click wsamac.dmg to open the installer.
- Drag the Webroot SecureAnywhere icon into the Applications folder.
- In the first activation window, enter your keycode and click Activate.
Your keycode is the 20-character license that identifies your account. If you purchased the product online, the keycode is provided in an email from Webroot. If you purchased the product in a store, the keycode is provided in the retail box. In addition, the keycode identifies whether you purchased a multi-user license, which allows you to install SecureAnywhere on up to three or five Macs.
