So this just happened today, and I was hoping to get some answers as to what exactly happened, and if I should really be worried about something.
A little background first of course. I had been using my PC like normal with no problems whatsoever up until roughly 2:30ish, and went to take care of some business in the restroom. Went I get back, I saw that I got a Skype message from my GF and was going to read it. However, the whole page was completely blank. No text of any kind, and at first I thought it was just a weird Skype glitch so I quit out of it and tried to restart it. A error popped up which I couldn't read because it too was complete blank with no text at all. I noticed that webroot said I was infected, and went I right clicked on the little icon to start a scan. Even that menu was blank as well. Thankfully, I knew enough to know where the scan button was, so I was still able to scan my PC.
Webroot popped up like normal, and the only thing I could see was the progress bar moving; again, no text though. It deleted a couple files, and I had to restart my PC in order for things to actually have text again. As far as I can tell, everything is working as intended.
I will admit, I do go on adult sites, but I am extremely careful with all kinds of precautions. Even on my browser I have a few apps that not only blocks ads, but scripts as well. So well it is entirely possible that I could of gotten a virus from those sites. I don't want to jump to conclusions.
Just in case, I have made a pastebin of both scan log and the threat log as I am sure they might aid you in helping me to understand what exactly happened.
