After going to pick up my computer on 12-12-14 and they said my Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security was repaired, reinstalled. After bringing my computer home last night little had changed. I turned on my Safari and the following words were in a box with Webroot SecueAnywhere at the top: that the Browser Web Security Extension Not Installed
The Webroot SecureAnywhere Web Security browser extension is not installed on your default browser.
Click Install to install this extension in all supported browsers or click Disable to disable the Web Threat Shield and this prompt.
I pushed install: as I have done 100s of times, but it still comes on when I open the Browser Safari the next time I get on the computer. Then it says that you may need to restart your browser.
Then it says Are you sure you want to install the extension “web filter”?
Install extensions only from sources you trust. Extensions can modify the appearance and behavior of Safari, and access your private information at websites.
I usually click Install and not Don’t Install.
Then it says:
Safari can’t install this extension, and in smaller letters: An error occurred while installing the extension “webfilter”.
How can you tell if it is installed besides these signs that come on. I would like to know how you can tell especially because I usually use Chrome and not Safari and would like to know if this browser is or is not installed.

Hi sophiecricket
Welcome to the Community Forums.
At this point I would say that you should Open a Support Ticket and let the Support Team take a look as to why this is happening, as it certainly is not normal behaviour. This service is free to all WSA users with a valid/unexpired license/subscription.
However, in the interim it may be that our resident 'All Things Mac' expert@ may have come across this and so be able to help/offer advice as to how to resolve the issue.
Hopefully with this two pronged approach you will get resolution to your issue.
Regards, Baldrick

Hello sophiecricket,
Welcome to the Community!
For Safari open up the browser and click on preferences on the upper left hand side of Safari. Then open Extensions as noted here, See if Webroot Filter is indeed installed.
For the Chrome Browser install the Webfilter from here https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/webroot-filtering-extensi/kjeghcllfecehndceplomkocgfbklffd
To check if the Chrome Webroot filter is on please go the the upper right hand side of Chrome and click the menu and Scroll down to Settings/ Extensions as look here:
Make sure you click install. If this doesn't help try rebooting your Computer and trying again to see if the extensions will install.
EDIT: If this doesn't work for you then Contact Support as Baldrick has suggested because you might need to uninstall/reinstall Wenroot. Support is free with a paid subscription
Please let us knwo if you still need help.
Best Regards,

Hello @
I forgot to mention that I also get this Webroot Secure Browser Not Installed on my Mac Computer running Safari, & Chrome.
Meanwhile I was just getting back to you to see if you have got your Webroot Filters Extensions working. If the Filters are working they should have green check marks within searching your browsers., examples below.
Safari will look like this,
Chrome looks like this,
Hope this helps out some.
