Hi erlysjed
Welcome to the Community Forums.
You cann ot temporarily shutdown WSA but you can turn off protection by right clicking on the WSA notification tray icon ('W' in a Green circle next to the Date & Time dislay bottom right hand corner), and selecting 'Shutdown protection' from the context menu displayed. Enter the CAPTCHA characters requested and that should do it.
Just remember to either reboot or click on the WSA desktop icon to restart protection as soon as possible after completing the install.
