Need help!

1) WR was blocking the launch of my Solidworks 2014 program on Windows 7 laptop

2) Couldn't figure out why so I uninstalled WR and that solved the problem

3) Now trying to install a new printer SW application and the install WR window comes up looking for Reg code instead of the printer SW app

4) Downloaded and reran the uninstall until from the WR website

5) Still have the problem

Q: How do I remove ALL remnants of WR so I can gain back control of my PC?

thx
Let's try this:

First, you may want to contact support so that they can whitelist the application you are trying to install. Contact them here

If you want to try to completely unstall Webroot, do this:

1) Uninstall everything from Webroot that you can find.

2) Restart the computer.

3) Reinstall Webroot.

4) Restart the computer.

5) Open the Start menu by clicking the Start icon.

6) Type the following into the Start Search bar, exactly as it appears below:

"C:Program FilesWebrootWRSA.exe" –uninstall

7) Press the Enter key on your keyboard.

😎 When prompted to uninstall, click Yes.

9) Restart the computer.
Hello Mjchip,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

If I may add to Cobraz excellent advise just make sure that when you run the command line that you do so from a command prompt with elevated rights, 'Run as administrator'.

EDITED: Also you can see this KB Article that covers this situation as Cobraz has stated.
