How do I add additional PCS I just purchased a 5 PC subscription and I want to add my additional lap

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

It is relatively simple. Just download the latest installer from here (Webroot version) or here (Best Buy) to the device that you want to install WSA on then

 


  • Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
  • KEEP the computer online to make sure the activation process can take place correctly
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode 
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot
And that should be it. You can do this for PCs up to your subscription's device limit.

 

As you are a Complete user (based on the Forum you are posting in) and so have access to the Password Manager and Backup & Sync features, if y9ou are planning to let other users make use of your subscription then please post back and I can take yo uthrough the process of making sure that each user under your subscription has their own Paswword Manager file & their own Back & Sync profiles...after all you may not want to share passwords with other users?

I am installing on this second PC but for some reason it is taking quite a while to finish.

It has been on 99% for about 3o minutes. Is that normal?

An install and scan of 3 minutes is not unheard of but not entirely usual.  If it has not finished by the time that you read this then I would look to cancel the scan if you can, reboot and then run another scan. If that finishes normally and WSA is reporting you as proytected (Green colour to the GUI) then all is well.  But if it does not then I would carry out an uninstall & clean reinstall as follows:

 


  • Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and DO NOT import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
 If this fails to resolve the problem, you may need to contact Support for assistance.

 

If your subscription is directly through Webroot, you will need to contact Webroot Support.  You can do so by submitting a Support Ticket if you have not already done so, or by phone during business hours.  (The online Ticketing system is manned 24/7)

 

If your subscription is through Best Buy Subscription Software services, you may need to call them at 1-800-GEEK-SQUAD.
