Note: Be sure to log in as administrator or with an ID that has administrator privileges.

To obtain an elevated command prompt: Depending on your OS, locate the Command Prompt (CMD.exe), right click the icon and (run as administrator) or you may be able to click on Start, type CMD.exe and press Ctrl-Shift-Enter to run as administrator.



 

Uninstall

For Windows Vista and Windows 7:

 

1. Open the Start menu by clicking the Start icon.

 2. From an elevated/administrator command prompt or the Start Search bar,

    Type the following exactly as it appears below.

  

   "C:Program FilesWebrootWRSA.exe" -uninstall

 

 3. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.

 

 4. When prompted to uninstall, click Yes.

 

 5. If all else fails you can contact Support at 1-866-612-4227 or submit a https:///t5/forums/replypage/board-id/WSA-C/message-id/%20%20%20https:/www.webrootanywhere.com/servicewelcome.asp%20

    and request further assistance.

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

Whilst what D_J has advised is spot on I would ask whether, if the laptop no longer work, you really need to uninstall WSA, especially if you are no longer going to use it.

 

If you want to reuse the license seat for another device then the easiest thing to do is to deractivate the laptopm from your web console so that the device is no longer registered as using the license and that should free it up for use elsewhere.

 

To do that log on to your web console (here) and follow these instruction on how to deactivate the device.
