I did just what tech support said and entered the keycode he gave me.  It said it was activated, but my Webroot says my subscription is expired.  How do I fix this?
Hello bdreyn, welcome to the Community!

I think the 100 character limit is for the title of a post or Trouble Ticket, NOT the content.

Give this a quick try:

Open WSA

Click the gear tool next to My Account

Re-enter the key code in the white box

Click Activate

REBROOT.  (Do not scan, do not close WSA, do not 'Pass Go' LOL, just reboot)

Open WSA

Check the status

I have seen, several times, when this works.  Regardless of if this works or not, PLEASE try it AND reply here to let me know what the result is.  I have been doing a bit of unofficial tracking on this and am very interested to know if this works so that I can submit a more 'official' bug report to Webroot.

Thanks!
I tried rebooting it after re-activating it, but that did not work (twice)
Thank you for the reply, I am sorry this did not work for you 😞   (I have seen it work many times in the past, so it is usually my first suggestion as it is quick and easy to do.)

Are you sure that you have available seats on your license?  As you posted in the WSA-Complete board, I assume that is your license level, which is good for 5 devices.  Lets check how many devices are listed on the key code currently.

Log into the Console

Look at the PC Security AND Mobile fields to see how many total devices are listed.

If you are at or over the limit of 5, this could be the problem as well.  It does often happen that ONE PC is listed multiple times.  If WSA has been uninstalled while the computer was NOT connected to the internet, that license seat will be 'stuck', and the re-install would take up another seat.

To remove a duplicate or no longer in service device, see this KB Article on how to Deactivate a PC.

If you are not at the maximum number of installed devices, you might try a Clean Install.  Do this by:

  • Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again

If this ALSO fails to resolve the problem, you may need to contact Support for assistance.

If your subscription is dirctly through Webroot, you will need to contact Webroot Support.  You can do so by submitting a Trouble Ticket if you have not already done so, or by phone during business hours.  (The online Ticketing system is manned 24/7)

If your subscription is through Best Buy Subscription Software services, you may need to call them at 1-800-GEEK-SQUAD.

I am sorry for how long this reply is, but I wanted to touch on all the easy bases to cover.  i hope something in all of this helps!
