Hi Dx3Me

Welcome to the Community Forums...http://www.calendarofupdates.com/updates/public/style_emoticons/default/bighug.gif

As far as I know the only way to 'logout' so to speak is to Deauthorise the PC in question from Backup & Sync.  This can only be achieved by signing into your Web Console.  Going into the 'Backup & Sync' section of the console, clicking on the 'Devices' tab and then clicking on the icon of the PC that you do not want to access Backup & Sync.  That should display a popup with details of the PC in question with a red button/white cross on it at the foot of the popup labelled 'Deactivate'.  Using this option will remove the device concerned from the device list and require full authentication before being able to reconnect to Backup & Sync...should you ever want to do that.

Let us know if you require any further assistance.

Hope that helps?

I just logged into the webconsole, but the section "backup and sync" is already blanked out, so I can't even go there... :(
Hi Dx3me

OK, and have you checked under the Backup & Sync Options (accessed by clicking on the cog/gear to the right of the tab description) as to whether the sliders for 'Backup' and 'Sync' are showing green (on) or red (off)?

If still on try sliding them to off.

Hi Dx3me

OK, let's go back to basics re. the unwanted icon that you have in the navigation bar.  Is this the icon that you are referring to?

I'm using Google Chrome, and no... I don't see such a logo on my screen
Hi Dx3me

Hope that you are keeping well?

Thanks for the reply.  Just want to make sure absoluteky sure that you are not using the Antivirus version of WSA as it does not include the Password Manager (may sound silly but sometimes one does overlook the obvious).

But assuming that you are not then I think that the next thing to try is installing the Webroot Toolbar Fix.

1.  Download and save the installer to your desktop using this link: http://download.webroot.com/toolbarfix.exe

2.  Double click the toolbarfix.exe file to launch the installer

3.  Follow the prompts until the window displays “Process reports success.  Please restart your browser if it is open. Done!”

4.  Press the Finish button.

Please the restart Chrome to see the toolbar is now visible.  It will present initially as grey W until you log in after which it will then turn green.

Please let us know if this resolves the issue. 🙂
