Hi frankg7170

Welcome to the Community Forums.

If I may just add to what Daniel has posted...you are using the Complete vesion and therefore you have access to both the Password Manager and Backup & Sync features. Now if you use those and you do not take the approrpiate steps then any passwords/credentails you store in the Password Manager will be shared with your Wife (that is if you give her the password to access the Password Manager...;)). Likewise, the Backup & Sync feature will be shared.

However, if yo would like to each have effectively your own Password Manager and Backup & Sync features, i.e.e, segregated from each other then you need to carry out a few extra steps after you have installed WSA on her PC.

If you would like more information on this and how to undertake the 'separation' pelase post back and we can provided it for you.

Hope that helps further?

yes i would like to know more about seperating the coverage...and thank you.
Hi frankg7170

My pleasure...I only proposed it because a while back another Community member asked exactly the same question as you did about bringing another family member onto the same WSA subscription and later on they complained about each family member able to see each others passwords, etc. ;)

So for you and your Wife, under the same WSA license, to have separate Password Manager accounts, then you will most likely want to have main Console access and control the whole thing?  So the thing to do is to provide a separate Password Manager account to your Wife (and others in the future), and one does that by:

  1. Logging into your Account Console (HERE)
  2. On the upper right hand side of the page, once logged in, click your email address
  3. Select 'Manage Users'
  4. Check how many user profiles you have already set up here.
I presume that it will currently just be one, or have you already set up one for your Wife?  With a muilti device/user license, you can have up to the same number of user profiles on that same key code.

If you have only one user profile set up, click the 'Create New Users' button.  Each user profile is, just like yours, a specific email address.  Create an additional user for your Wife.

For her new user profile, once created, go to 'Permissions'.  There you can allow her Console access, or block her from it.

Also, you will need to set the permissions for Passwords, and if you so desire you can also allow her separate Backup&Sync access as well, in which case she will go into a different Backup&Sync folder and so your Wife will not be able to access your files or passwaords, AND vice versa.

Just a quick note here to advise that, the WSA Backup size allocation is for the license/group and NOT per user, i.e. whatever storage allocation you have on your subscription will be shared.

Further, suggestion; that you do not provide Admin Console Access to anyone other than yourself, as that will give them access to make changes (perhaps more pertinent if you want to allow further users to make use of these features).

Well, I hope that answers the question/makes sense?  Please do not hesitate to come back here and let us know how you get on or if you have further questions.

Regards, Baldrick
