I have tried for the first time to make use of the cloud backup capability of Webroot.  I get to a point where it asks me for my e-mail address and password, but it tells me the password is incorrect.  I know it isn't because I used it to log on to my account just now.

 

What am I missing?

First, make sure that you have created an online Webroot account:


  1. Open your browser and go to my.webrootanywhere.com and click Sign up now.
  2. Enter your account details and register.
  3. You will receive a confirmation email at the address you provided. Follow the instructions in the email to confirm your account.
  4. When prompted, enter your Webroot account credentials to log in.
After you have doen that, if you still can't log in to Backup and Sync, create a support ticket here and let Webroot check your account and see what is wrong. As far as I know, the backup and account email and password is supposed to be the same.
