How can I see what threats have been removed?
Hi ssm--arik

Welcome to the Community Forums.

It really depends on how much information you want.  If you are interested in details then you can save and view the Threat Log by clicking on Utilities and from the options revealed as a result then clicking on 'Reports'.

From the new page displayed click on the 'Save threat log' button, which will prompt you for a name & location to save the file.  Once you have provided that and you click on 'Save' the file wil be saved and a Notepad window will open displaying the current contnts of the Threat Log.  As this is cumulative (it displays all threats logged since it was last cleared or WSA was installed, whichever is the older) the latest information will be at the bottom of the log.

I hope that helps/provides the information that you are looking for?  If not then please post back with more information as to exactly what you are looking for?

Regards, Baldrick.

Hello

There are at least four ways to look at detected threats

1) On the online console

2) After running a scan on the results page there is a button to save a scan log

3) In the Quarantine tab

4) Right clicking on the system tray icon and selecting "save a scan log"

Hi Sherry

Apologies, but Quarantine will not necessarily show all threats processed.  I have found that in some cases not everything ends up in Quarantine.  Sometimes, when WSA shows Red and one checks Quarantine there is nothing in there and therefore a review of the Threat Log is really the only hard and fast way of seeing exactly and all of the threats processed.

Having said that you do make a good point about it being a place to check/look in as a matter of course when a threat/threats have been detected.

Hello Baldrick,

No apoligies needed. You are correct and in that I appreciate your intake on the matter!:D

Hi Sherry

That is kind of you...it is just that in my early days of using WSA I used to get frustrated/concerned even when threats had been detected and nothing appeared in Quarantine...and I eventually discovered myself that the best place to look was the Threat Log.  So just thought I would mention it.

Regards,Baldrick
Hi Baldrick!

To tell you the truth I wasn't aware of that so I wasn't going to debate the well known Sir Baldrick!

I've always thought the threats would be listed in Quarantine as and of course in the Logs.

Learning everyday! Thanks!:D
