I got an alert that it was time to update webroot. Clicked the link which took me to Best Buy's site. Not satisfied with their pricing, I shopped, purchased, and downloaded it from Amazon. But the existing Best Buy Webroot won't allow the new one to install. It just keeps taking me to Best Buy to purchase the darn thing. I think the solution is to delete old webroot, but I'm a bit afraid that I will also lose the newly purchased one. Please advise. Thanks!

Hello muttloverzpd, Welcome to the Swebroot Community Forum. :D
Please try a Uninstall / Re-install. Make sure you have a copy of your keycode.
Since you bought the keycode from Amazon, Do Not use the Best Buy Link.
Please follow the steps closely!

- Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
- KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
- Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE) Let us know if it is the Mac version you need.
- Uninstall WSA and Reboot
- Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and do NOT import any settings if offered by the installer as you can set it up as you like once it's done
- Let it finish it's install scan
- Reboot once again

Greetings @ ,
You can activate your new keycode by following these quick steps:
1. Open the Webroot program and click the gear icon next to "My Account."
2. Enter your keycode in the field provided under "Activate a new keycode” and click "Activate."
3. If a scan starts automatically, allow the scan to complete.
Cheers!

Thanks! But I don't know where to find that 20 digit code. I've got the downloaded file in my download folder but I haven't found a code there or in my Amazon order history.
I'm good. Thanks to all!
Glad you have it sorted. Any other questions, this is the place to post them. :D
Have a nice day,
Dave.
