Webroot® Unity API

Hi, the API documentation seems pretty clear, but I've wondered about for example this command: GET /service/api/console/gsm/{gsmKey}/sites/{siteId} The documentation says:  siteIdThe identifier of the site to query information for. string required But I was wondering if you can use a Comma separated list of different sites? To decrease the amount of requests that have to be sent.   Just wondering before testing. Greetings.    

I have been trying for almost a month to figure out why my GSM has no "API Access" tab, and the webroot support staff is basically useless. I am hoping the community forum is more knolwedgeable.   Here is what the GSM looks like in the trianing videos, and it has the tab I need:     Here is what my GSM looks like. There was an impressive dashboard in the webinar showing what someone had created with the API.    Just curious if there is any chance that the person who created that is interested in licensing the code - or open sourcing it?  It would save me a week a work.  :)

Hi everryone,   I'm trying to use the API for listing sites and theat history. I'm able to login correctly and obtain both the access and the refresh token. However when I try to list the sites using the GSM KEY, I get a 400 status code with error descrioition   Error(GSMSITE009):Not a GSM ConsoleShould I contact the customer support or I'm using the API in the wrong way?   (by the way I tried also using the Powershell snippet of https://community.webroot.com/t5/Unity-API-forum/Simple-PowerShell-example-to-get-site-info/td-p/309151 )   Thank you very much!

Has anyone done work using Java with the Unity REST API?  We are going to start using it shortly and would prefer not to build an SDK from the ground up.   If not, is anyone interested in collaborating?

However, Webroot does not provide support for this code, and fellow community members should review this functionality for themselves, and use at their own risk.     Just sharing this bit of code: if I'm posting this in the wrong place please let me know!    I'm in the process of figuring-out how to use PowerShell and the API to pull info I can't easily get from GSM (such as a list of all duplicate agents for all sites by MAC address).  I'm still learning PowerShell, so I'm not quite there yet, but if anyone else out there's trying to get started, this example will show you how to connect, get a token, grab an object containing all properties for all sites, and display a few in a table format.  It's modified from an example by Robbie Vance, see

Hi, I was looking through the api reference and was wondering if it's possible to clear threats from a command issued via the api. I'm currently looking into the api for a project for college.   From what I can gather, the most likely command would be this one: /service/api/console/gsm/{gsmKey}/sites/{siteId}/endpoints/commandsThen I have a few questions, where do I find the available commands? And, is it possible to issue a command to a single endpoint? Because as far as I can see it's either to a site or a group of sites.   greetings 🙂

Hi everyone,   I'm very new to the Unity API and have been playing around with some basic calls. I've just tried to use the ECom methods and realised I cannot get an ECom scope returned from the auth method, even if I explicitly request it.   In the documentation it suggests to contact my webroot representative, only I have no idea who that is.   Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how did you solve it?

I am working with a developer to create a Python Script to pull out Site Name and Number of Machines an agent is installed on out of our MSP Dashboard for billing purposes.  From what I’ve read on  https://unityapi.webrootcloudav.com/Docs/en/APIDoc/PasswordAuthentication the token request must include a "Username, Password" and a "Client ID / Client Secret".  Nearly every API solution i work with only requests Client ID / Secret, can someone clarify why we need to provide a username/password as well?  I’d rather my developer not have to implement 2 authentication mechanisms.     Can anyone clarify WHY or IF we do indeed need both?

If you're building a custom dashboard, and are looking for something to draw your charts that is easy to implement, and free to use, check out Google's Charts libraries (https://developers.google.com/chart/). They guarantee three years of backwards compatibility, so there are minimal updates required. And you can just add the links in your code to make sure that the libraries you're using are current.   <script type="text/javascript" src="https://www.gstatic.com/charts/loader.js"></script>  You can also specify a specific version, if you want to make sure that there are no surprises. We're running some tests here at Helix, and I've noted something strange today. For some reason a device with PUAs does not return any threats listed when I make a call to the Threat History endpoint. Is this intended or a bug? edit: Even though the PUAs are shown in the Threat History tab in the webrootanywhere dashboard. 

For the life of me whenever I try to send a PUT request to change the group of an endpoing - either via PowerShell or Postman - I end up changing the group fo all of my clients (yay).  Even though the "EndpointsList" is being sent it appears that it "arriving" as null/empty --or-- I'm just doing something completely wrong.  Is the correct Body parameter "EndpointsList"?   Thanks again!

I was wondering if there is a way to retreive the EndpointID from a computer?  We are a LabTech partner and it would be much easier to pull it from the computer instead of having to use an additional API call to obtain.   Thank you!

I can not get webroot open on my phone. I keep getting message saying kc doesnt match my account. But i have double checked and i typed the kc in right

 We have a new update coming out for the GSM Console which includes the new API Access tab for creating API ClientIDs and ClientSecrets. This was scheduled to release today, but a critical bug has been found, and the team is pushing this back, Here is the official notice:   "We have come across some unexpected issues with this and next week’s planned releases. Barring any further unforeseen issues we are now planning to release on Monday 7th  our GSM console release with Unity Tab, CSV reporting and Site filters. So as we are building out Unity API requests in our various applications, we will use a REST client to quickly and easily test these before finalizing our code. We at Webroot have found that Postman (https://www.getpostman.com/) has been the most comprehensive and easy to use client freely available in the Chrome extensions store. There's also a Mac version! However, feel free to use any REST client you are comfortable with. Even some of the applications we use to develop (JetBrains' IDEs) have built in REST clients to make this process easier.
