Why don't I have an icon in my system tray?  

My WSA Complete sub has been renewed the subscription number has been entered into my console but the phone still indicates that the subscription has expired. The console also shows the same. The renewal was done through Webroot.

Hello Community,   Coming across an interesting issue this week. As the subject says, Task Manager is freezing/unresponsive when it is opening and only when FireFox is already open. While Task Manager is trying to start up the rest of the my computer is being bogged down as well; mouse is jitter/slow to respond, other applications will slow down as well, video's and music stop working in Firefox. Essential everything until either I can kill task manager by Alt + F4, wait for task manager to finish loading, or force shut down the computer. Those are the symptoms.   To get the expected question out of the way. Firefox is on the latest version 57.0.4. Webroot is on 9.0.18.44 and my windows 10 computer is up to date. This webroot install was purchased online. My computer is a custom built by me, if specs are needed let me know.   I've concluded so far that the root cause IS webroot. If I disable webroot protection, the freeze doesn't occur

my webroot filtering extension for firefox 57.0.04 is broken and all i see is some weird looking broken icon. i uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, etc. i went so far as to renew my subscrption 77 days early, nothing works to get the correct webroot icon next to the web pages on firefox. with chrome and explorer it works fine, but i don't use those browsers. can you please help? david

Webroot's Process control is still (After how many years now?) horrid with graphics handling, however high GPU use renders it completely unusable.   Under normal situations, I expect that I should be able to select a running process that is being monitored and set it to allowed, especially if it's a patched game. However if the GPU is being pushed to 100%, the Process Control is incapable of displaying both more than one row every three seconds as well as more than five rows total, thus rendering it impossible to whitelist the game via that method.   Further testing along this line came to several interesting results as well. Webroot catches pre-compiled cryptominers as malware, doesn't catch custom-compiled ones, but crashes all of them anyway even when they are manually whitelisted.   Anyway, how can we best ensure that there is a bug recorded for high GPU use demolishing the Process Control?

Has anyone done work using Java with the Unity REST API?  We are going to start using it shortly and would prefer not to build an SDK from the ground up.   If not, is anyone interested in collaborating?

I am new to the Webroot Community and generally do not remain logged in on any site.  I would like to log out of the Webroot Community when I finish my inquiries, but I don't see any logout or sign out option.  How do I log out?

Webroot is not performing the Scan according to automatic schedule I set. I have to go in manually and says at risk fix now!  Mobile is Samsung Galaxy SM-N9005 android. Was performing scheduled scans but not now.  I'd turned off auto sync to save battery but was not receiving gmail so turned it all on again. Recently loaded new app Power Doctor to speed up charging. Could this app affect Webroot auto scheduled scans? Most grateful for your help. 

Hi People:   Question: The above "password stealer" has snuck by Webroot and the Windows Defender twice this week! First: How did that sneak by Webroot? I scan religiously every day. Second: How is it that Windows Defender has found this two times even after removal?  This is a very clever "password stealer" or Webroot and Windows Defender are not doing the job!   Does anyone have any ideas as I am starting to worry.   As always, thanks for your help.

Are the application settings on a PC per user, or are they global? I have a user with Power User privileges, and an Adminstrator user. I never go online with admin privileges, for safety reasons, but I installed Webroot under the Administrator account. I also set up scanning schedules and optimization schedules in the Admin acount. My question is, will these schedules execute when I am logged on with my Power User account, or do I need separate schedules for that account? I've been seeing errors that tell me that a system optimization is already underway when I have schedules set under both accounts. How does this actually work?

Recently, My Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete has begun throwing errors on my Windows 7 system. It appears to be trying to run scans simultaneously, and I keep getting errors mentioning wrruninstall.

Hello there,   I am running into problems with Webroot blocking a Windows service running on my Windows server. To remotely administer my Windows server, I use psexec.py, an open-source tool from OpenSecurity (https://www.coresecurity.com/corelabs-research/open-source-tools/impacket). psexec.py requires Windows service C:Windowspypsexecsvc.exe to be running on the Windows server.   I usually run the following command from my Linux box: root:~# psexec.py --user 'Administrator' //172.20.18.217 'systeminfo' ERROR: Cannot connect to service  I've confirmed C:Windowspypsexecsvc.exe is already in the Webroot whitelis but it doesn't help. Hi, A client runs WebRoot Antivirus on his home office Windows 10 computer. An business application on the computer checks for updates monthly at one of the application vendor's servers. WebRoot WebShield has begun blocking the connection to the update server. WebShield OFF, update succeeds. WebShield ON, update fails.   When we monitor the Active Connections window in WebShield, we can see the connection being made during the update. When WebShield is active, the connection is closed immediately when made, and the update fails.   WebRoot BrightCloud rates the IP Address of the update server as Trustworthy 100/100. Great. So why is the connection blocked?   And how do we get WebRoot WebShield to stop killing the connection? We can find no way to Trust/Allow the connection.

PUA.OSX.MacKeeper.r has been popping up in TimeMachine backups over the past few years and where thought to be false positives. I recently purchased a new Macbook Pro, a new TimeCapsule and connected it to a newly built network with no other devices connected to it. Within five minutes of starting the first TimeMachine backup,  PUA.OSX.MacKeeper.r was deteced by Webroot.    Any thoughts?

Hello What's the difference between the other versions? (Antivirus, Internet Security, Internet Security Complette)   I found this: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/Regular-AV-vs-Gamer-version/m-p/77901#M4925   The Gamer version has System Optimizer added and that's the only difference. That's all?   System Optimizer = Sytem Analizer ???  Would some info or pdf file be something about it?   Thanks!  

I have the exact issue described in this post: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/Block-Allow-Files/m-p/279102   However in that thread, though marked "Solved", the OP never came back to confirm a solution.   In short, when I add a file to the Allow/Block list, I browse to the file, select it, hit Okay, and when it's listed in the Block/Allow list, it's shown with a different location, a temp folder under AppData, not the location where I chose the file. I have not been able to get the file listed with the correct location.   And the file is not allowed to run even when it's listed in the Block/Allow list with the incorrect location. If WebRoot Protection is turned off, however, the program runs successfully.   Any Suggestions?

Last Wednesday, I had a scare with an infected scan. I'm talking the red dot with the ! inside it. I ran the scanner again and it returned to green. After that, I uninstalled the program and then reinstalled it. So far, it's run clean. I've been through the Quarentine logs as well as the watch list. There's no record of the infection on either. Does this mean I am not infected and Webroot removed the virus, or do I need to redo my whole system?   Thx

I have to ask again. Is there a way to install this new version over 9.0.18.44. My computer never seems to update to new versions on its own and the chack for updates button always get a result that "You are using the latest version". Thanks.

For some reason yesterday and today  when i tried to access support the login showed my old email address and will let me into the support page. how do i change the email address? My current address was set over a year and a half ago and i have contacted support with my correct email address since it was changed.
