Hi. Does anyone know how do I create an override exception for a blocked website using the online management console? Thank you!

We use AutoCAD and we cannot save .dfx files to our server.  AutoCAD help recommends making an exception for .dfx files in Webroot.  How?

Hello,   Due to the number of false positives with the Web Threat Shield, I have decided to allow users to overide the WTS. settings locally. Once the Endpoint WTS. is moved over to the web filter that is available in the consumer version I will revert these changes.   As of today there is no concrete date on when this change will occur.   I would like to send a message that displays on all Endpoints, that the customer must click on, explaining the changes. I would prefer not to have to email my customers. Is this possible?   Regards Amber Computers

Now, I am accessing Cloud console.  I want to setup a scheduled policy to scan all local drives.  Please advise how to do in the cloud console.

  The below error pops up on many domain joined computers often. Clicking Yes or No does not stop it from popping up.  

Just curious if any users have used Webroot Secure Anywhere Business Endpoint protection with a veterinary management solution known as AVIMARK?   If so will Webroot cause any trouble?   Thanks in advance!   Chris

I recently visited the website of a new company that I am now working for, a mgt. Agency with many  business entities.  The home site comes up with malware problem and most of their other sites do as well.  I use Webroot on my PC and this is how I noticed this problem.  I informed the company District sales mgr. and they replied we don't see that on our computer?  I told them you do not have a secure site for your auto pays at all.  You problably do not have any anti malware software.  Am I wrong?  What should I tell them?  Thank you.

Hello   I'm having reports from multiple users that web site performance for our Intranet site is extremely slow.  The developers are saying that it's webroot.  I'd like to know if it's possible to whitelist websites with webroot so that it does not attempt to scan the content prior to loading it.  Is this possible?   Other than completely disabling webroot what other options are there for me to tune performace of the web experience?  When I look at the policy I see there are a number or settings relating to Web Threat Sheild.  Where can I find documentation on what each of these settings does and how it works?   Thanks,   Scott

how to properly uninstall and reinstall WEBROOT when system had activated a old name and the settings for my PC? First I deactivated the older PC on the web console. Now I want to try and get PC running proper. Second I made sure to rename my PC so there is no name mix up ever. Now, How do I  uninstall and reinstall my WEBROOT Security on that PC?(ASUS 8.1 Fliptop notebook) I have my key code.ALSO- I need to know if there is anything else I should do before, inbetween, or right after to get my PC running since so many Window settings were conflicting and causing freeze ups?    

This was installed onto my laptop without my authorization. I do not know how it was installed. This is a personal PC. When I go to uninstall it it says it is centrally managed and I must go through the portal to remove it. I do not have access to this because I did not install it. What do I do? Hi, i'm trying webroot endpoint protection on a little number of test workstations and I'm having some issues on "protecting" webroot to be intentionally removed from the end user. - Even if i selected not to display the program on the control panel the entry is always present and the software is easy uninstallable by the end user (Workstation 8.1 PRO) - is there any way to lock with a password an uninstall attempt? On bootup getting the following message. Can't even boot in safe mode. I was hoping to boot in safe mode to run a virus scan. C:Windowssystem32dwmapi.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an eroor. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the sofware vendor for support. Then I press OK and it just cycles over again.

Hi everyone, I'm struggling to understand two featuers of the central managed webroot endpoint security: 1- Unknown program management 2- protection against ransomware-day 0 attacks for online enpoints   1) once an endpoint is scanned a report is sent back to the central console and from there the admin could take a look to the unknown programs- suspect files and so on. Reading on the manual I found out that once an override is managed (e.g. good program) than the endpoint, for that MD5 signature, doesn't do any kind of check. The problem is that that file keep being displayed on the report of the scan for the endpoint on the firther checks even if it's considered good , that's not simply annoying, create confusion as far as i see 2) I cannot really unserstand how an "online" workstation could be protected from attacks such as the cryptolocker ransomware. Openfire.com is a redirecting website. Sometimes to HP, sometimes to a reputable website but more often than not your speakers will announce you have a virus along with a pop-up that directs you to call tech support to remove it. Obviously bogus! The pop-up is difficult to remove and you have to end task. This happens on all browsers so far.   On a home instalation the whole screen is blocked by webroot,   On my clients Webroot installation there is the occasional pop-up. It doesn't always work!

be carefull I have both webroot and norton. I ran webroot found nothing norton found sape virus High risk. Do we know why webroot did not find this high risk virus and what it does to the computer. Norton did remove the virus

Hello.  First time poster. :)   Is there a way to temporarily disable the firewall? Some users needs to disable the firewall temporarily (developers...) but I dont want them to be able to disable the firewall permanently.    

Looking to disable Antivirus if client does not pay, automaticly with my CMS WHMCS, does webroot have a API so this can be done?  

I am wanting to periodically scan my user home directories where they store all their personal files for viruses/malware. But when I do a custom scan it will scan only the directory that I choose and not any subdirectories therein. Any way around that? I want to do this about once a quarter to give me a comfort level. Is there any way to do this?   John

Refresh configuration is stating the end point is on the latest agent version but when checking the version number it's older than the latest.   Additionally, these end point are showing as "not seen" in the console for quite some time.

i added three webroot keycodes for 3 different customers in the webroot web account manager. I mistakenly put two codes into one customer's console. How do I get it out and create another console for the removed keycode? Thank you.

Hi all,   I have one computer at my customers site that i support keep droping out the webroot proxy service. So this causes the user to reapply the settings to IE or what ever bbrowser they user or/and restart the service for it to work . Can someone help with this.   Things I've done.:   Update the webroot to version 50.66.28038 reinstalled a fresh copy   there is no time between drop outs it could be 10 or 30 min mostly when the computer is inactive and not being used.   This is windows 7 pro x64 .   Your help is much appreciated.    

Has anyone deployed Webroot SecureAnywhere Business Endpoint Protection over Bit9? We have a potential customer who is currently using Bit9 and they want to deploy WSAB over it until they have a chance to finish uninstalling. If anyone has done this previously, please let us know how it went.  Thanks!
