Until today (at least I didn't notice it until today) when I logged into a terminal server as an administrator, I saw that wrsa.exe was running under the SYSTEM process as well as an instance for each user. Now I am only seeing the SYSTEM session as well as just another single instance for my user. Did something change? I have a few clients that track everything and want to know why it's not showing up anymore and are concerned that it's no longer protecting them.

Since Friday, Dec 5, Webroot has been blocking the random .dll files that are created by Iron Mountain Connected backup and causing the backup program not to run. How can we prevent this? There's no way to create an override for the files because each endpoint gets a randomly generated file created and each one is different each time. Its never blocked these files before.

We use the WSS on our small Windows based network. While it does a good job, there are sites that apparenly dont allow our proxy based connection to their servers. We have noticed this on Craigslist, Ticketmaster and others. Are there any work arounds short of using another service or a hard wired device?   Thanks

I have Webroo secure anywhere deployed at muiltple locations and most of the PC's are working fine but i have a few at different locations that show the status of not seen recently.  How can i fix this?  Do i have to reinstall it?

A few weeks ago Webroot was installed on a computer. The user logs on to a financial website that registers her computer. She has been required to request a code from the website to register her computer each time she goes to the site. This began about the same time as the Webroot installlation. Has anyone had this problem before? Could Webroot be interferring? What might be the solution? Thanks in advance.

Hello We have recently changed a customer over to Webroot. Since moving them to Webroot the machines will blue screen. We have had to remove the Webroot for now. All the PCs are the same Acer model with essentially the same software on them. I would think the issue is a conflict with Webroot and a driver or program that is running. The Machines are all running Windows 7 32 bit.   Is there any list of known compatibility issues with software or hardware? Are there any logs I can look at in Webroot that might help point me at an issue? Other suggestions for find the cause of my issue are most appreciated. Hi All   One of my endpoints has been using Webroot for a couple of weeks now and in the last 24 hours has been infected by CryptoLocker.  The damage has been contained to the local pc only and hasn't infected any network shares.  After doing some investigating, I can see Webroot claoms to be the only antivirus software that can clean Webroot.   My question is simple.  How do I go about activating the roll back technology so I can restore the endpoint to a time prior to infection?   I hope there is good news   Regards Matt.

Hi, I have problems with an employee monitoring tool called Webwatcher (its also a parental control software).   I have added MD5 hashes and also added exceptions from entries in the scanlog.   ...but what happens when the application is updated??   I would like easier methods for allowing applications. It is classified as System.Monitor.Web.Watcher. It would be much simpler to allow that "malware group"   Regards, Joakim

Hi,   We have recently found an issue when connecting a Wacom STU-500 via USB to our clients pc's - in that the device is being blocked by Webroot.   Is there any way I can allow this device to work? The company that supplies the device is iconnect360 and the program requires elevated trust to work...    Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks!

I hate to start a new thread but I am having trouble figuring out where to set up restrictions to certain domains and categories.   I changed it one time, and now I want to update/change settings categories and add domains that we need to block on the end users and I have no idea where to go.   Thanks for any help.

We have a online application. Users internally / externally receive this error when using Chrome:   Error code: ERR_CONNEC?TION_ABORT?ED   I have: 1. Uninstalled / reinstalled Chrome 2. Uninstalled Malware Bytes, CC Cleaner and Spybot 3. Updated OS (windows 7) 4. Deleted Cookies and History 5. Uncheck "auto apply" within Chrome advanced settings.   Obviously posting here means we do not use Kaspersky, which I am finding is the issue, it isn't.   Thanks in advance!

hi guys,   i have a terminalserver 2008 r2 with secure anywhere. today a thread was found in one user session.   on all other sessions a window popped up stating to remove or to wait to remove the thread.   how can i configure that not all logged on users get this message?   the system stopped respondig and a restart of the server was neccessary...   what need to be configured differently ?   thanx in advance...   juergen

Hello All,   I have an infected laptop and do not want to allow it access to our corporate network.   I downloaded the webroot windows install file and installed it on the laptop, but when I try to scan the laptop it says Aborted.   Also, when I try to switch on Realtime shield etc. it says that the subscription is expired.   Are these symptoms because the laptop is not connected to the internet?  if so, is there a way around this so that I can disinfect the laptp without putting in on my corporate network?   Thank for the help.   Joe

everytime i run a scan it says 15 threats removed  even if i do it multiple times in a row...   now it says 20 threats removed i have emailed support several days ago but no reply maybe this is quicker?

Hi, We are using the webroot Business for our office,   we are using the webroot business for our office, i have heard that the WSE Astromenda is a browser hijacker program and a potential threat for the network.   Why my webroot didnt detect it?

When you do an in-place upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10 the windows 10 upgrader does not allow windows 10 to be installed unless you remove webroot endpoint, which requires console access.   If someone had to do an in-place upgrade of windows 10 and the person that has access to the webroot console wasn't there the in place upgrade can not be completed.   What is the plan of action for this to keep webroot on top of things?    

Hi everyone,   Just have a query on what people do to protect themselves from users opening malicious hyperlinks.  We recieved an email, which one of our users opened. They clicked on the embedded hyperlink and downloaded a virus which was luckily caught straight away by the AV. The category for the site was "society" in the webroot web security.    We have webroot web security, webroot antivirus and a spam filtering software installed. User education is also a big factor we will focus on again.  I would just like to know if there is any other option I may be missing besides disabling all hyperlinks from emails. It would be also interesitng to see what other companies do in this area.    We are running outlook 2010 and 2013.    Thanks in advance,   Brian

when I went to open the internet this morning a warning came up that said it was from microsoft windows and that I had some malware and to call this number immediately 877-599-2253 and they will tell me how to remove it.  What do I do?
