I wanted to text blocking 7zip on a Policy Copy due to Ransomware concerns where 7zip is used to encrypt files, but I cannot figure out how to find an option to block applications from the Admin Console. I see the option on the Workstation doesn’t allow changes (PC Security - Blow/Allow Files).Also, I used to be able to allow/block applications under Agent Commands in the old console, but no longer see that opion in the New Console.Any help would be appreciated.

Ugh. I hate when companies “change” things and think it’s better. I have over 100 devices that were grouped together by service plans, (I resell webroot to home / end users) and then each pc was renamed to the customer’s name for billing purposes as the actual hostname is meaningless to me. The new dashboard just wiped all the host names I had created over the years and reverted them back to the pc’s original host name so now I have no idea which pc belongs to which customer. And looking at the details, when a home / residential user is using a log in account of “princess” that isn’t going to tell me what the customer’s last name is for billing. Who thought this was a good idea without telling users / admins? Anyway to revert this? 

I need to block all websites except for six that are allowed on the computers.  This is a very locked down environment.  I don’t see a way to block “ALL websites” and only allow just a handful. wildcards do not work thanks 

Hello all,I saw a few other forum posts about this topic with no replies.When an offsite domain workstation connects to our VPN, all of the webroot DNS filters are overwritten and they can access any website. When disconnected from the VPN, the web filter takes effect again almost immediately.We plan to take a look on our end with the firewall, but wanted to bump this question since it seems to be a popular one and I wasn’t sure if anyone has come across a solution.Thank you!

I may be missing something when creating target tags in Security Awareness Traiining. What I thought would happen is I could create a list of tags and apply them to targets (users) when needed.What I found was a bit clunky. I had to select an existing user, add a tag, and then apply the tag to that user. If I removed the tag from the user, the tag was no longer in the list of tags. For example, I tagged one user as newemp and another as csuite. Both tagswere in the tag list. When I removed the csuite tag from the user, it was no longer in the list.

Overall, I do like the new console, but I can’t find the column chooser so I can view useful data like last logged on user, IP address, agent version, etc. The ability to export to csv also appears to be missing which was useful in sending teams CSVs of agents not seen recently. I can still get to some of that functionality by going to site → Endpoint Protection and going to the old console, but that is temporary and very clunky. Is the functionality described going to be moved into the new console? Is there a tentative timeline?

Where can I find deactivated endpoints in the new console?

For home-based teleworkers (in particular) who do not have a hardware firewall doing SSL/TLS Deep Packet Inspection, does Webroot DNS Protection mitigate most of the threats that TLS Inspection would likely catch?

Hi, Is there a way to include new targets in an existing Program.  I launched a Program and now I need to add the new employees into the existing Program. I believe we can include new campaigns to the launched program but not sure of including the new targets which has been imported will be part of the Program too.  Thanks

One of the tools I provide for a number of my clients, is an anti-spam service, which blocks pretty much all of the Security Awareness emails out of hand. If I’m trying to help them learn how to avoid phishing emails, though, I’d really want them to be able to receive those emails, instead of them just going to the junk bin.When I tested out a different company’s version of this, the way we got around it was to load up a list of the domains used by the testing system, and whitelist them all, to make sure that the users actually got the messages. Is there a way to get such a list for this? Because otherwise, this isn’t going to be particularly valuable to my clients.

I haven't auto setup the reminder email while creating the training campaign whereas I found this ‘Send Reminder Now’ button under the launched Training campaign.Is there a way to find to whom the Reminder emails are sent when you click the ‘Send Reminder Now’ in the Reports.I would like to extract the list of targets who haven’t completed the training and the reminder emails need to be sent to them.    

Hello Some of my endpoints became not seen recently, its no possible to uninstall webroot because of de permissions.It makes no sense uninstall and reinstall, they to many endpoints. Can anyone help me to solve ? Regards Luis

Dear Webroot Community Team,I hope this topic finds you well. I created a training campaign for a customer and selected the Reminders option to apply to those users who had not completed the required training module. Then, this campaign was launched.However, I had to cancel this campaign in order to update new information for customer. Although the campaign was cancelled (the link made inactive), its reminder option was not terminated.Hence, the incomplete targets will most likely experience an annoyance as the invitation email still being sent out. Looking at the console,  a number of our Windows 10 PCs haven’t checked in for the past 10 days or so. I’ve made sure these devices are on and users have been using them as normal. How can I force the device to check in with the console again?

Hi all, We are getting pretty frustrated because of no automation of billing the correct webroot agents to the customer.We’re working with Autotask PSA and when a customer takes Webroot or change the number of agents it is beeing changed in the WebRoot portal. Next we send a email to our admin who has to change within the contract of Autotask of that specific customer the numer of webroot agents. Sometimes it happens that the email has nog been read or someone forgot to sent an email resulting in not a correct invoice to the customer and not paid costs for us.Which possibillities offers webroot to automate this? Kind Regards, Niels

Really need a sanity check.  Getting ready to deploy DNS protection to a client that only has endpoint protection.The only difference between this client and other using DNS protection is that they don’t have a DNS server.  They have no on-prem servers or services that would need to resolve locally.  Storage and apps are cloud based.I couldn’t find anything in the deployment guides about anything different for this type of environment.  I suspect it is because there is nothing different that needs to be done, but I thought I would reach out to the community pre-deployment to see if anyone has deploy to a similar environment recently and what to expect.TIAMike

Hello - I recently started manage Webroot in our environment, and I noticed none of the active policies have this “Favor low CPU usage” setting enabled. Anyone got any experience with this setting? I figured there had to be a reason why it is disabled. Maybe it doesn’t do much, or maybe the scan will be too slow?The setting for “Favor low RAM usage” is enabled in most policies. Thanks!

HI:   I am testing the usage of the WSA for buisness and the agent commands.  One of which I need to use is the “uninstall command” so that I can remove the program from computers owned by users that leave the company, or for any other multitude of reasons.   The agent refresh is set at 15 minutes.   I manually refresh the WSA client.   Nothing happens, I even reboot.   No over one hour hour later still nothing.   Is this a feature that is expected to work?   Version 9.0.29.9   Windows 10 1909 18363,778.   I can’t distribute the software if I cannot uninstall the agents.   Any help is welcome.    

Hi Team, We recently purchased the webroot secure anywhere for one of our enterprise servers. The agent was installed on the server with the new keycode received. The finance team lost the email with the keycode but the server still has the agent installed and shows only the first 4 digits of the keycode applied.The finance team even does not remember the first name / last name used for registration as they work on multiple things.We only have two things: Th first 4 digits of the keycode and the purchase date. Please help.Regards

I just rolled out Webroot to a client, including the Chrome extension. Almost immediately after rolling it out, one user starts complaining of websites not keeping him signed in. They only thing that's changed is WR. Has anyone heard of this before?
