Hello everyone,   I have been curious about something I noticed when performing scans. I can click "scan my computer" and it will complete the scan relatively quickly. I take note of the number of files scanned. Then if I perform another scan immediately after, often the number of files scanned will increase. Is this common or do I potentially have an issue on my computer?   Thank you in advance!

What is "Webroot Filtering Extension"?  I searched the Knowledge Base but received nothing.  Yesterday I was informed by a Windows message that the add-on 'Webroot Filtering Extension' was ready to download. Did I want to enable it.'  I did.  Since then, my Internet Explorer 11 has begun to slow down, crash, and perform some strange antics.  Enabling it and disabling it seems to correct those problems.  Yet I do not know what 'Webroot Filtering Extension' is doing in the background.  Do you?

I am new at doing this, but I need to put Webroot on full scan on my windows 8 PC.  I have been having a problem with trying to send anything to aol. customers, which are my friends.  I get their e-mails back saying they are undeliverable.  One of the last "Postmaster" came back in another language.  So, I need to protect my PC better.

Just updated Webroot and now getting popups that won't delete and repeated securinty warnings directing me to call 1 800 964 0511.  I called and got woman with thick Indian accent and loud background noise (sounded like a call center boiler room operation).  When challenged, she hung up. The Scam Logo is a Red Triangle with Exclamation Mark in center.

Greetings,   First off I'm a new user of Webroot, actually last time I used antivirus was maybe 6 years ago. I thought I might share my experience. My machine was Desktop with Windows XP. Because one of my HDDs was split in two Partitions I had a privilege to quickly reinstall Windows anytime without touching my data on the other partition. However I got a little lazy in this matter and it's been a while since last re-installation. Soon I became aware of malicious activity which I discovered using USB pen drives. Every time I'd plug pen drive it'd be infected with autorun virus. Other than that I felt nothing out of ordinary and machine was running fine. Perhaps disabling Autoplay feature in Windows helped a bit. Anyway I replaced my old desktop with laptop. Took out my HDDs and connected them to laptop using adapter SATA to USB. How come webroot cannot detect the FBI virus before it hijacks my computer?   Why doesnt webroot detect and quarantine the FBI virus?  I thought webroot was top of the line virus protection.
