So - for complicated reasons, I’ve taken over a new Webroot contract on a set of machines that had EndPoint already installed but with no access to the Console (which was under the control of an outsourced provider who are sulking and not responding to me) These machines obviously don’t turn up on my new console. I can’t uninstall the old EndPoint because it keeps asking me to browse to the original msi file (which I don’t have) and reject a new wsasme.msi file (probably wants a different build). The Endpoints are all managed, so I have no access to the UI to directly change the licence key.  This also stops me running the EXE installer, as it just prompts the existing installation to tell me to contact an admin. BUT If I run the new MSI file - It lets me install a second copy of Endpoint on the machine - I actually get two copies in the Control Panel list of installed applications with different install dates from 2016 and 2020. My Webroot won’t scan for viruses or malware. What should I do or when will this be fixed?

Why am I having to enter a captcha for every site I visit?  Even when I am on the site and I click on a site link I have to do it again.  It is time consuming and a nuisance.   Any ideas how to fix this?

Console is corrupted with devices long gone with expired keycodes but showing status as “protected”. Online WR messaging support is no help and says I need to voice call. On voice call the robo-system says the wait time is estimated at FIFTY MINUTES (yes 50, not 15)!!!!!!!! Totally useless and inadequate so-called technical support. No option for leaving a call-back number. No wait time updates while waiting. THE WORST SUPPORT EVER!!!!!!

I renewed my trial version for 5 devices 1 year subscription and works perfectly well just recently. But I have a problem installing it to my other device with a pop-up error “The keycode you entered is for a Webroot SecureAnywhere trial and can’t be used to reactivate the full product. Please help.   

Every time Webroot asks me to sign in, this is what happens: I jump through all the hoops, it tells me I’m signed in, it tells me I’m being redirected to my application, then it signs me right back out and I’m back at square one.  What am I doing wrong?  Why does web root seem determined to strip me of my sanity?  I’m one small step from an uninstall, because quite frankly I’d rather take my chances without Webroot and their stellar security.

Facebook is banning deepfake videos, which stem from a technique of human-image synthesis based on artificial intelligence (AI) to create fake content. Over the past year, security experts and lawmakers have voiced concerns about malicious deepfake applications, particularly as a vessel for disinformation on social-media platforms ahead of the 2020 elections. Facebook on Monday said it will remove misleading videos from its platform — however, it will not crack down on all doctored content, such as “satire” video, as the company attempts to walk the thin line between free speech and misinformation.

I have been getting calls on my service saying that Webroot isn’t doing business in USA any more and would have to pay another 199.00 to connect in the UK. I have 2 years left on my account and they said If I wanted refund to log on to my banking online to get it. When I did these they said the accidently put 10,000 in my account. I needed to go to bank and withdraw the money and they would give me instructions what to do next. I told them, I wasn’t about to do that and he said he needed to get the money back. I told him to figure it out some other ways and hung up on Him. He said his name was Sam and gave me a # 315-837-0090. He called back over 10 time trying to connect with me. I checked my bank, there wasn’t the amount in there. I have been getting many calls from them since. What can I do, other than not answer , is there a fraud hotline to report them on?

I am going to renew my Webroot Complete next month and wanted to know, when I do, will the Last Pass renew also? DO I have to do anything to have my Passwords switched over? I really do like this last pass and it works as expected! Thanks Guys!   

Simply all I want to know is will Webroot work with another OS, (ChaletOS)

Congratulations Webroot Support. My normal routine in the morning is to turn my computer on then go to the kitchen and turn on my Keurig Coffee maker and brew a cup of coffee and return to the computer and check accounts and other things. This morning was a little different. When the computer was turned on, Webroot immediately hit on 2 threats. I did a scan and sent my log to Webroot Support checking if they were False Positives. I figured it would take about an hour or so for a reply so off to the kitchen I went to make a cup of coffee which took about 10 minutes. When I returned to the computer I had the following reply from Webroot Support:   Hello, Thank you for the feedback in regard to our software. I have made the changes needed in our system so that you can now run the software. These should no longer be detected as infections. If it still gets detected I would like you to run a deep scan, the instructions for doing this are shown below

Just after performing a scan, I check in mywebrootanywhere account & the time last scanned is not correct? Any idea what may be the problem?

Virus??I get a blue screen saying my computer is blocked and an alert, isn’t Webroot catching this and what to do?

Can someone tell me what steps I need to take as my email account got hacked over Christmas and I suspect password. I realised I had been hacked when my Netflix account wouldn’t let me log into it.  My sister in law’s email account was hacked on Christmas day and I suspect my email address was sourced from that incident as it was only two days after when my email went whakko. I’m concerned and not sure what steps I have to take in order to get back control of my emails and whatever other accounts that have been taken over.   Does this sort of attack leave spy software on my computer so that it can access any passwords etc. that I type in on this computer. I do have Webroot SecureAnywhere on my computer but that didn’t seem to help. Look forward to receiving some responses to assist my next steps. Kind regards EK
