It will mark just over 10 years since the operating system was first introduced. Microsoft revealed the retirement date for Windows 10 in an updated support life cycle page for the OS. Thurrott reports that this is the first time Microsoft has ever described the end of support for Windows 10.It’s not clear exactly when the support document was updated, but Thurrott reports it only previous documented “when specific Windows 10 versions would leave support,” and not the entire OS. Microsoft rolls out BIOS update that fixes ASUS blue screen issues

February 17, 2025 By Sergiu Gatlan More ASUS customers can now install Windows 11 24H2 after applying a BIOS update that resolves blue screen of death (BSOD) issues acknowledged in October.As Microsoft revealed last year when it added a compatibility hold blocking the Windows 11 2024 Update on affected systems, these problems occur when trying to update to Windows 11 24H2 on some ASUS devices with very specific hardware components.Redmond said at the time that the known issue mainly impacts ASUS X415KA and X515KA laptop models. Take a bow John McAfee, one of the most wild personalities in computing, who was best-known for the antivirus software that bears his name but lived an absolutely wild life beholden to no-one. McAfee died in a Spanish prison cell in 2021 when he was due to be extradited to the US to face charges of cryptocurrency fraud: An autopsy declared the cause of death was suicide, a verdict later confirmed by a Spanish court.Needless to say this hasn't stopped speculation, mainly instigated by McAfee's own pronouncements while alive, that he was murdered in some conspiracy.
