How do I customize my daily scan’s start time?

Virus??I get a blue screen saying my computer is blocked and an alert, isn’t Webroot catching this and what to do?  

Can someone tell me what steps I need to take as my email account got hacked over Christmas and I suspect password. I realised I had been hacked when my Netflix account wouldn’t let me log into it.  My sister in law’s email account was hacked on Christmas day and I suspect my email address was sourced from that incident as it was only two days after when my email went whakko. I’m concerned and not sure what steps I have to take in order to get back control of my emails and whatever other accounts that have been taken over.   Does this sort of attack leave spy software on my computer so that it can access any passwords etc. that I type in on this computer. I do have Webroot SecureAnywhere on my computer but that didn’t seem to help. Look forward to receiving some responses to assist my next steps. Kind regards EK

I received two emails from “Webroot” about my subscription being about to expire.  I have several years left on my subscription so I assume this is phishing are asking for data and/or money.  the logo on the email is a RED circle with a white “w” in the middle.  Not too accurate, eh?  How can I report or just forward them to Webroot? By the way, my name is Mark, and EVERY TIME I come to the forum , the forum denies my password when I sign in, and I need to get a new password (for YEARS) so this time I’m just posting without signing in, if it’ll let me. ;)   (It’s probably me doing something dumb, but I’m taking the easy road here.) December 31, 2019  By Pierluigi Paganini   Exit scam – Bad news for Grey Market users, one of its administrators revealed that another administrator had emptied the cold storage wallets. According to one of the admins of the Grey Market marketplace one of the admins, ‘theiving‘, has stolen all the users’ funds the platform stored for the escrow service. “ you can mark Market as scam exited and ban all our official accounts” reads the message published by the Market admin. During the last week, the black marketplace was often unreachable before going completely offline.   Full Article.

The tests were carried out over multiple days, starting last week, and involved Russian government agencies, local internet service providers, and local Russian internet companies. Been playing World of Warships recriationally for a while, but since installing WEBROOT, I’ve been getting randomly loged out of the game.  My question, if there a problem with the game software or is WEBROOT having a problem with the game software.  I see a previous comment about Wolf of Tanks having a very similar issue.  Is there a fix in the works or are we infected with russian spyware? ;)

I had a Christmas list file saved in my documents which I’ve always opened with Microsoft Word. This year it wouldn't let me open it. Wanted me to open it with some other program I wasn’t familiar with & when I switched it back to Word, it was encoded & wouldn’t let you switch it to English. How can I retrieve it & why would only this one file have been switched?

I currently have the following: 1 Denon HEOS HOMECINEMA soundbar 1 Denon HEOS 1 with GOPACK 2 Aiwa EXOS9s linked for bigger sound and one is connected to my FIIO E7K DAC to my main workstation 1 YAMAHA YAS108 bluetooth soundbar in the media room 1 UE BOOM 3 Just got it as of 11:24am 12.11.19 I also had the SONOS PLAYBAR as a review unit. Wasn't near as good sound quality wise as the HEOS HC. Sucks how HEOS is finicky AF with connectivity. The sound is far superior than sonos. Sonos play bar was grindy for any electronica music. Yamaha has been smooth and sounds better than the sonos was and the sonos is 800 vs the 190 for the YAS108. Aiwa EXOS have been very nice. Loving the UE boom so far. HPE SAS SSD users need to install a critical firmware patch or they'll lose their SSDs, including their data.   November 26, 2019 By Catalin Cimpanu   Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) warned customers last week to install a critical firmware patch to prevent SAS SSDs (Serial-Attached SCSI solid-state drives) from permanently failing after 32,768 hours of operation -- which is 3 years, 270 days, and 8 hours. "After the SSD failure occurs, neither the SSD nor the data can be recovered," HPE said, clearly suggesting that device owners need to install the firmware patch if they want to keep using their devices past the 32,768-hour deadline.   Full Article.

After running a scan, I noticed that something is NOT WORKING AND SHOULD BE REINSTALLED--WEBROOT. McAfee is still on my computer, a version of AOL that supposes to look after only what may affect AOL on my computer.  AOL is my service provider for my email addresses, & associated passwords.  AOL LIVE is technical services but only with regard to AOL…   Please advice about this MIX.  It is confusing now that I have WEBROOT and need to know IF there my WEBROOT cares for my electronic devices in all necessary software issues that may or may not impact the functiioning of these devices, not including hardware issues. Best Buy setup my new laptop and installed webroot but when I go into webroot it says it has expired and webshield, realtime shield and firewall are all set to off and it won’t allow me to turn them on.  Is this normal or is this software not in stalled properly?  How do I fix if this is wrong?

Beta 4 of MacOS Catalina 10.15.2 Released for Testing Dec 6, 2019     Apple has released the fourth beta version of MacOS Catalina 10.15.2 for Mac users involved in the beta testing programs. MacOS 10.15.2 Catalina presumably focuses on bug fixes and improvements to the latest Mac operating system, perhaps addressing some of the issues and problems with Catalina that have been reported by some users. There does not appear to be any major new changes or features introduced in MacOS Catalina 10.15.2 beta so far.

Which isn't very helpful when scanning inventory. Has anyone experienced this behavior...?

Our in home network has a total of 12 PC’s, laptops, iPad2 and all have windows 10 but one PC and of course iPad2 air is not listed on our webroot.  I just bought a new laptop and added webroot to it.  Since I have never had an issue with this software is why I am at odds.  I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled Webroot due to this message “webroot system analyzer no antispyware product is installed”.  If this was on the software section of the program I wouldn’t be as unnerved however, this is on the “Threats”.  Now, I have called Webroot, hours of research and I think after 1-2 months now I either need an answer or look for a different vendor.  Shame since I have been with you for over 5 years and love the software.
