Why does Webroot not know that I have a new PAID keycode which I use for Family members and is listed on my Console? Further that SUPPORT deleted my expired keycodes from my Console, and...........................I am personally using the BETA version. Copy of email follows:    

I recently aquired the "ability" to have yahoo show up when I start my browser. My home page is google. When I go to the home page icon I do get switched back to google. My search engine is Internet explorer. And browser is google. The search enginr updated to Explorer 11 recently. And I removed auto update. I removed the bing bar etc. It seems these cheeky bastards hijacked my browser to Ask??? I cannot make any changes to my default browser in settings because it automatically then puts in yahoo..Any ideas??????????????

It would be nice to have a visual differance between BETA and the Standard version. I keep looking at my version and it says BETA. I have yet to encounter any problems using my dell XPS 13 but if the BETA could have a color other then Green that would help those of us no noticing any change. I do have to say it did dig deeper into my files

neither Webroot nor Malwarebytes detected malicious code  and so I am repeatedly told that the problem is with a bug in Amaya since that is where the malicious code is activated at this time,I have been using Amaya for several years without any problems. With all due respect I have been experiencing this attack and I see the way it has been developing. For an general and arbitray bug in Amaya its amazing how it is devising ways to target my SEO. Why it couldn't be better if it were planned that way. The first arbitray bug causes images to load into my general directory on my hard drive while deleting the image directories from the html code, making it appear locally that all is well and fine, while online the images don't display because on line they are being stored in the image directories, for which the names also happen to be part of my seo. I have been on computers from the start of the first 286 models and have learned a lot. I am anxious to do what I can to be a Beta tester. I will not say more as gossip and socialization on the net are too rampant.

When i went into the beta mode I noticed that I lost some time for my subscrition. Did anybody else notice that?

Joined this community to get in on the beta testing. Super excited to see what is coming.  My background is electrical engineer, but I'm an internal security specialist for a small/medium sized buisness in Cincinnati. My focus is mostly network security but interested in file side as well. Can't wait to get the new beta installed.   

I am new to the community. When I first joined I was eager to help. So I started perusing through the forums looking for anything I could help with but there was a problem. Around every corner , every forum and thread there was a mysterious user. He wears Sonic the hedgehog as a hat to show you how fast his brain is. His hair so long Rapunzel is jealous and a smile that seems to say, "I did it for the Kudos". The man I speak of is none other than JP. He lurks in the shadows waiting for someone to post a problem. Then has answers that rival the greatest of answers, 42 to be exact. I'm not sure if anyone can achieve such greatness as JP the Admin , Moderator and Ambassador of the WRC but they will try. I'm glad to have joined this community and hope I can help any way possible. Even if its just laughter.    PS. I didnt forget about you Ssherjj , PVaddi , TripleHelix , freydrew pbcompgeek Oh yea. Just trying to figure this out - starting today.   My desktop has some kind of keyboard tracker in it, and I'm vulnerable.  Hoping this helps, but it's not gone yet.

Hi, Love Webroot so want to work with Beta versions. Using both PC and Mac.

Names Gary R., have used Webroot for a couple of years. I teach Engineering internationally. My wife comes with most times. I am a father of four grown kids, have one granddaughter and one very blond, blue eyed wife. LOL   I look forward to getting my first beta to use and find bugs!

Intel will drop BIOS support as part of a plan to boost UEFI adoption.   November 20, 2017,  By Liam Tung   Intel is working on a plan to remove so-called "last-mile" barriers to killing off legacy BIOS by requiring UEFI Class 3, which doesn't expose legacy BIOS interfaces.   BIOS is the firmware that helped older PCs boot up after powering on and offered a runtime for the operating system and software.   Today's computers come with UEFI or the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface, but have included BIOS support for cases where people use software that depends on 16-bit BIOS, which can be enabled though the Compatibility Support Module (CSM).   Full Article.

Made you look!   Hi, my name is Jim, i've been using Webroot for a couple years now and swear by it with anyone who asks me what I use for protection re infowebsurfness.   I want to join the beta testing program...I built my first computer from a Heathkit in 1983 and have built I think 7 desktop systems for myself over the years, but I'm not really a tech dweeb, just like to put things together and figure them out.   I've been an actor, USAF Academy cadet, writer, photographer, book author, magazine editor in my career. Currently (still!) learning stock market trading to supplement the pitiful stipend they call Social "Security" and a modest Screen Actor's Guild pension.   Wishing anyone who reads this a happy holiday season for the end of 2017.   thanks JIm  

Hi all,  I'm not technically new on the forum, as I've posted troubleshooting stuff before. I've spent the past year or so trying out just about every AV product on the market. I'm a geek. And decided to come back to Webroot permanently. Reason being, the other guys' suites are becoming way too bloated. Even though modern PCs don't get bogged down by AV, it's concerning to me that Bitdefender, Trend, and many others use 300+MB of memory at idle, and it gets more every year. Is it poor coding? How can Norton or Avast provide the same, if not better protection, using only 20MB? (not comparing Webroot because of its unique cloud-exclusive function)....... This is a rhetorical question, but that is the main thing stuck in my mind after of a years' worth of fooling around with AV products, and a main reason I ended up back at Webroot.  Yeah, I'm a geek. I also like to check out the user interface of all the products. I think most of them do a good job at that these days.&nbs
