I tried to install webroot and it says it has expired.  the antivirus is brand new. What do i do?

I have worked in this industry for years, not wanting to reveal too much.  I am moved to action when a product comes along that I can support without resevation, to users, the source of my being here.  I have managed large and small, I like small and the hands on - I dislike being lost in the crowd in large.    I like to think I make good decisions and give good advice - but that is for my peers to decide - I can only talk, or write. Computers/Networking were my hobby and now they are my job - I am a current Hobby Hunter.   I have always been successful in Jobs I have had - have been hired with a handshake, no interviews, and had a customer following as an outside tech that followed me after I took my first inside corporate job.  I weaned them off as I needed to have a life.    When a user asks where to take their pc to get it fixed, I have no reply.  If I cant fix it throw it away.

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I would just like to say how pleased I am since changing over to WEBROOT. I love getting these updates that remind me, and update me on all the latest things going on. I have learned so much since joining the Community, and advise anyone who will listen to switch to WEBROOT. Keep up the good work.

I just receved webroot as my anti malware protector. Does it really stop a trojan or even worse from invading my computr?    A second concern. If I download from utube will it protect the computer from attached malware?

Can any one help me get rid of jwplayer on my pc which i never downloaded

I am a definite beginner with computers, internet etc., so hope being a part of this community will help me learn lots!

Well I see this is going to be more involved than I expected. I guess I'll have to come back when I have more time.

Alan here: I have background script continually running, with no message that there is a script problem. Doesn't matter whether I am using Firefox or IE. It slows down my computer and I am not sure that it also "freezes" my system periodically to where I must reboot to continue.

i have had webroot a little over a yr now and am satisfied with my service i was wondering if and when i run a scan must i do so separatley in desktop and app screen on windows 8?

My name is Gary. I just came back from a trip and when I opened my PC, it did not start regularly. I clicked on firefox but what came up was another type of browser "iStart123". I tried getting rid of it but couldn't. It is not a program so i cannot uninstall. It keeps popping up even when i changed the options on Mozilla.

I have upgraded to Quicken 15 and was able to use it without problems for a few months. Now I have an error message that Quicken is unabe to establish internet connection while I am trying to update my bank data. Suggestions?

Hello, I have had this problem for a while with my email.  Someone is getting into it and sending emails to my contacts, with attachments.  How can I prevent this? I appreciate any ideas and thank you in advance. Debi

We keep getting calls from an unknown number.  Today I finally answered.  The person calling is saying he is "Steven" and that our Windows is dowloading corrupt downloads.  I refused to talk with him nor give him any information.  If I have WebRoot why would this not be stopped or is this a scam.  I could hardly understand this "Steven" and he is very rude.  I said I have tech support and don't call my phone again. 

Hi folks.....newbie here. I seem to be unable to log into webroot from the small green icon on my yahoo homepage. When I try it all I get is a big red line across the top of whatever page I am on that says unknown email address. Not sure why but I CAN sign in to webroot from the webroot home/login page and I checked that the email address I have there is correctly entered and it is. I have even changed my password to make sure it matches the req'd protocol of numbers, letters etc but still no help. Any thoughts for this old dinosaur/retired airline captain that might clear things up a little?? Thanks in advance. I am not all that computer literate so be patient with me.   Cap'n MIchael
