Here at Webroot, we love audience participation. We want to recognize and reward the most active, influential members of the Webroot Community for all the ideas, support, and general conversation they contribute. When you sign in to the Webroot Community, each post, kudo, tag, accepted solution, etc. is counted toward your rank. Starting at the Frequent Voice level, you will join the Webroot VIP Program and receive a Webroot reward to thank you for your contributions. How to tag other community members When you tag another user the system will notify them that they were mentioned in a post so they will be sure to see it. To tag a user, you simply start with the @ symbol, then begin typing their username. The system will suggest matches, and you simply select the username of the person you would like to tag. As soon as you post your message, they will receive a notification that they were mentioned, and a link to the post.

How to stay informed To find out what’s going on in the Webroot Community with the topics, threads, and discussions you care about is easier than ever. In the top right section of the community, you’ll see your profile. Click on it, and you’ll see your profile information. My Profile This section is where you can setup your profile and make changes to your settings. You can read more about that here. Topics This is where you’ll find all topics (questions, discussions, and articles) you have created. You’ll be able to sort/filter by ‘Most Answers’ or ‘Most Views’ but by default, you’ll find the topics at the top where there was recent activity. Replies This is where you’ll find all of your responses.

How to subscribe to threads and subforums Subscribing to content on the community is the best way to keep track of what interests you most. It’s easy to keep track of everything. Here are couple helpful hints. On occasion it will be useful to quote other users to provide context to your reply. This can be done by following the steps provided below: How do I quote another user in my reply? Personalize your appearance on the Community with your own unique avatar! This is also known as a profile picture, and it will appear whenever you post, as well as on your profile. Follow the steps below to change it. How to change your avatar These steps will walk you through changing your avatar: Click on your avatar image in the upper right Click, “Settings” Look for the field called, “Profile picture” Click, “Edit” Locate the image on your computer that you wish to use and click, “Open” Click, “Save changes” located below on the same page

Let other users know some information about you with the signature function. This will add a brief line or two about you and be located on the bottom of each of your replies. How to add a signature to your profile To automatically add a signature at the end of your posts, follow these steps: Click on your profile icon in the upper right Select, “Settings” from the drop-down menu that appears Scroll down until you find a field called, “Forum signature” Type your desired signature into the Signature text box Click, “Save changes”

Where can I find my profile? At the top right of the Webroot Community, next to ‘Create Topic’ you’ll see either a ‘Login’ button (if you haven’t already logged in OR your profile overview.)
