I am new to the forum.  Like previous contributor I was using N360 and now using WSA Complete--love it.  The support team is fabulous and the recognition by the BBB is very well deserved.

New Web Root user since last night. I switched after reading reviews in WR, and switched as my subscription with Norton neared expiration. I made the right decision & like the product performance. Looking forward to reading & contributing in the community.

hi. i have logged in online also put my  security code in brought my device up but nowhere on the page shows me how to deactivate free version then uninstall. can someone please help me? it said if i remove device it still would be on my tablet i have ainol novo paladin that webroot is again. i appreciate any help. thanks hope 2 hear from someone soon it really should not be this hard.this is the first thing i have not been able to uninstall   p.s. when i go to my apps then hit on webroot when i go to the play store and go to webroot there is a deactivate or update buttons when i hit deactivate it says this app is a device administrator and must be deactivated before uninstalling/ also when i go to my device settings and go to apps i tap webroot and the force stop and uninstall buttons are shaded out when i cannot press either one.   i truely would appreciate any help. have not seen my question so far answered unless i did look far enough back if it has be

:catsad:I know it is not a very good way to start off an intro saying that I need help, but isn't that what we are here for?  I downloaded the new Office 2013; Outlook will not process email.  It will connect to the incoming server, but will not send the test email.  I kept getting an error message.  I finally found out what the error code meant. ( Error 0x800CCC0F when sending or receiving email. Usually caused by Antivirus software scanning email, but antispam scanners may cause Outlook to return this error as well. Disable the email scanning or increase the timeout setting. Also, make sure your firewall is allowing the scanner software to connect to the Internet).   As you can see, I need to figure out how to increase the timeout setting.  Does anyone have an idea on how to do this?  I read through the instruction manual until I was blurry eyed and I still cannot figure it out.  I really do need to use Outlook, now more then ever.  My husband is getting ready to s

I used Window Washer for many years. A while ago I installed Secure Anywhere, then I installed Norton 360 Primier. My SecureAnywhere subscription has now expired and I'm considering renewing. What I want in a product is something which will do the same functions as the old Window Washer did - specifically overwrite unused portions of my hard drive. Does SecureAnywhere do this? If not, does Webroot have a product which does?  

I renewed my subscription last night, but for some reason the program still says I haven't renewed.  I already went through the steps from the SecureAnywhere web site and I still have the same problem.  NOW WHAT?!?!?!

I just did a system recovery and reinstalled my software. I love it, I also did an upgrade but am now having error messages pop up.

I recently received this email from webroot: ‘PayPal Account Modified’ themed emails lead to Black Hole Exploit Kit‘PayPal Account Modified’ themed emails lead to Black Hole Exploit Kit. Could that be connected to a Bill Me Later account? Also, will web root find these "black Hole Explorer Kits and what is the Black Hole Explorer kit?   Thanks, Donna

Hey all,  I have been using Microsoft Security Essentials on my home computers but have recently put in a Windows Server 2012 Essentials and need AV on that.   After doing some research and free trials Webroot looks great.   My only problem is determining which product suits me best. What I have: Server - Hyper-V Server 2012  2 x Virtual Machines: Server 2012 Essentials and Windows 8    Physical machines 3 x Windows 8 1 x windows 7   Mobile: 2 x Android   I deally I would like everything covered, discounting the Hyper-V host I would need 6 Windows licenses and 2 mobile. That doesn't really fit in to any product from what I can see.   I could get 2 x Complete home packs for a total of 10 licenses. Then I have any future VM or devices covered. I am open to the Business version as well as I presume it has an Admin Console where I can manage the other computers.

I discovered Webroot by sheer accident.  I have been a Norton user for many years.   About a week ago I upgraded to Norton 360 Premier.  With Norton, I am all too familiar with the amount of time it takes to complete routines, such as scans and backups, but I do consider it to be good software.   While doing some research for the best internet security programs (I did a search on Cnet) I came across Webroot.  The contrast between Norton and Webroot intrigued me, so I purchased Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete.  I wanted to compare the differences between the Norton and Webroot software.  Much to my surprise, I learned that I could run Norton and Webroot on the same machine without creating conflicts.  So, that's precisely what I did ... I installed both programs.   Much to my surprise, they seem to be functioning well, with no glitches or slowing down of processes.  I am told that Webroot is non-intrusive, which allows it to function, and not compete, with Norto

Just wanted to say hello to all in the Com.

New Member here.  Install went fine and I received the "you are protected" message on the Overview Tab with everything checked green.  My one question is: my system events is going crazy as if it is still scanning.  It is at over 800,000,000 and when I go to details.  My Windows/GDI Events and Registry Events are the biggest sessions going non-stop.  Is this normal?  I am sorry.  I am new all this, but I just wanted to ensure nothing is wrong with my computer.   Thanks in advance! I am a long time computer technician. Actually started working on computers in '84 programming them. Then got into the support side as a hardware tech and then as IT Support for the Federal Reserve. Long time user of Webroot from the early days. Fully a convert. I run a home computer repair business out of my home and have literally hundreds of customers who for the most part are all Webroot subscribers primarily due to me. Sure wish I got a discount or finders fee!  :D   Happy to be aboard! Dave

I'm a newby here but would like to be a "reglar".  I have been messing with the hardware end for 25 years or more.  I leave the software up to you egg heads but if it's hardware...unless it's just broke...most times I can make it work when no one else can.  If you have plenty of money...you just buy new...but po' folk have to try to make the stuff they have plod on.  i'm not your average twerp (not that there's anything wrong with that) but I live out in the rural setting where people are struggling for every dime.  Computer work is not a priortiy until it goes out on the farm and farmer JOHN has lost his data for 800 milk cows .  lol...he doesn't want to spend $1000 for a new unit but he'll pay me $2000 to get what he had back.  BACK UP?  HUH?  When I finish with them, they know how to back up and forward, how to type, how to spell their name.  It's not just about fixing the modem...it's a whole education for them..  Anyways...i'm proud to be an American helping Americans.

and I need some information.  First of all I have an Android tablet that is just a low end one that only has version 2.3.3, will WRA complete work on that version, it is a Coby Tablet.  Another question I have is this, I am currently using the free version of AVAST on my machines.  Should I remove it or can it be used along with WRA Complete?  If it can be used, will it cause confusion?    Thank you for any help anyone can give me.

Good Morning, Happy Saturday, Sept 1,2012   New Community User Mike B here in the great state of Kansas.   My wife and I have started a new home based internet business.  We have quickly discovered that access to the internet and a good running PC network is absolutely critical.  In fact, these have become our "Achilles Heels" so to speak, one for our right foot and one for the left. LoL.   Quick General Question for the community, When running a PC scan via webroot, Is it best to be Online and connected to the internet network or Offline?   Blessings my Friends, MBinKS
