Howdy My name is Lucas

Hi follks,    I'm a Webroot Esclation Engineer. Have been involved with computers at various levels for more than 15 years. From Point of Sale installaiton and configuration, large enterprises, main frame, desktop, and your local computer tech shop.   In my time away from work, I enjoy working on 3d Graphics and Effects, painting, listing to music, playing video games, and most recently wrenching on my Imprezza.   I've been lurking on the forums for a while and just figured it would be time to make introduction.   Thanks!! Salutations

Hello one and all. I'm new to the community, but not to WSA, which I've been using for just over two months. Sure, we've had our issues, but I've yet to find a lighter, more powerful AV program. I currently run it alongside Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO with nary an issue (which as I understand it, WSA was designed to do).   Many thanks to Webroot, and of course the guys at Prevx, for such a sublime piece of software.

An introduction..

Hi all!   I thought I'd introduce myself as a new member, and user of WSA Complete.   I was first introduced to WSA at Wilders Security Forum, which made me make sure I visited the Webroot stand at InfoSec last week :D I'm very glad I did, WSA is running like a dream!   In "real life" I am a network manager for an educational organisation, where security is our number one priority. Currently running ESET throughout, with many other policies / software. I'll be watching WSA closely when our contracts run out :D   Glad to meet you all!

Hello, I'm Anna

Hello, all.   My name is Anna and I'm a Front Line Engineer here at Webroot. I have been on this site for awhile, but have been having fun reading other's posts instead of making my own. I felt it was time to change that.   I can't really speak of a hometown having grown up in the military, but after college I was finally able to chose my own location to live for a change and came out to Colorado. And I love it. :D   I'm a fan of a variety of books, shows, music, and food. However I definitely lean towards sci-fi/fantasy and mystery/crime for the first two.

Hi, I have been using webroot for a few years now, and I'm wondering right now if anyone else gets the fake anti-virus software boxes that say you have a virus. I get one for Windows Security Essentials wanting to scan my computer I don't have that so know it is a fake. . Webroot does not pick them up. I'll do a scan, deep, quick and full and nothing comes up. I know this is an introduction forum...I'm old don't know much about pc's, but I have tried to keep on top of the virus, malware spyware thing by having the webroot. For the most part I don't worry, and only once a virus got through with Webroot...and that was probably my fault. These fake virus software things are a pain in the rear and I would expect Webroot to catch them but they aren't. Any suggestions?   Thanks so much, Lola

Hi I'm a new member and a new user of webroot which does impress.

My old antivirus always flagged when incoming emails were scanned for viruses.  Does Webroot do this automatically and only advise if a problem is found?

Hello from Wisconsin.   I'm hoping this forum will help me with any problems I may have in the future with Webroot.  Currently, my only suggestion would be to please add a Cow to the avatars...& make him green.  :D   Mike

Been out of action for a bit

Sorry to say that since joining the community my computer has been out of action.  Only 3 years old and the darn Hard Drive decided to start to fail. Great fun ever since getting things up and running again. That includes having to learn a new OP, new version of Office, etc.  plus what felt like millions of updates from Microsoft. At least the one program that was absolutely no hassle to deal with was Webroot Secure Anywhere Essentials. The whole thing has taken me almost two weeks to get computer fixed, then get everything back on, updated, and all tweaked to run the way I want them to. My apologies for not being able to see the notices, etc. on here, or comment on any of them. Ancient computer user - like since 1989.  Brain is now slower than it was, lol. Alibaba

Hello Community,   I have been with Webroot as a technician for about 2 months now, and enjoying every minute of it. I would like to add that the product that is offered is a step into the future.   So enough about Webroot and more about me now since this is introduction threads. I am a College graduate from DeVry University. My degree is Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems (CIS) with a web design major. I am currently attending Keller University while keeping my full time job with webroot in the journey of a Master's in Business Administration (MBA)   I enjoy free time with friends and family and like to make life as simple as needed.

Hi all!   First of all my apologies for a small geographic test in the subject :p   Another member of the Wilders (Prevx forum) joins Webroot fraternity, sorry sounds me better than community :D    I see a lot of known "faces" here ... TH, Mongol, Kit, Joe/PrevxHelp etc. My greetings to you all and also to others I didn't mention ;)   I am a long time user of Prevx, later WSA after Webroot acquired Prevx. I was lucky enough to be at the public genesis of WSA participating in aplha and later closed beta testing.   I am going to be active here also in WSA Android forum. Hello..

My name is Soren,and I live in Copenhagen,Denmark.Some time ago (just before the new SecureAnywhere went public,I bought a new computer,and with it,a 2 year licens to PrevX .3.220 with SOL.Of course I would like to upgrade it to SA,but I have tried to write 3 different places now,I nobody write back.Can somebody please help me with this? Can I use my PrevX licens (511 days left) to the new SA? When I asked long time ago in Wilders,I got the answer from (I think he is called Tripple Helix?) that it was a question about time,and that we PrevX owners would get an answer soon.But thats a long time ago,and I really would like to get this solved now? Thank you.

Who I am

I'm cddude from Iowa. I have use webroot for many years and have gotten several of my friends to use it also. I'm retired and on my PC many hours a day. I'm a sounding board for a lot of my golfing friends with computors. This year webroot's program did not overwite last years. So I had to delete it my self. I told Webroot people and they said they were working on that problem.Have not heard of the results. by for now.

Heaven sent WSAC to Sydney, Australia

Hi all, Just want to add my praises to Webroot. Sorry for the long post, but thought you should understand why Webroot is heaven sent for me. No internet security suite would work on my PC. I had been using Kaspersky Internet Security for years (even though it was painful to live with) but kaspersky Internet Security support ran out on 31Dec2011 and it stopped working. Then I went on a mission trying Kaspersky Internet Security 2012, Norton Internet Security 2012, F-Secure Internet Security, Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2012 - some would not install and rolled back, others could not validate the subscription key.   it was then my ISP suggested remote assistance (which I had to pay for) but after 12 sessions over some 55 hours involving 62 PC reboots they could not resolve the problem. So my PC was written off as being too old (hardware is 8 years, and software Win XP Pro SP3) - I was advised to scrap it and buy a more up to date PC. Reason I have kept the PC so long was that
