I cannot download any kind of data anymore. every time i try it, i get a Windows error message “ error- error while scanning for virus” but the data i want to download is safe. I checked if it has something to do with google chrome but that does not seem to be the case. Now i think the problem might bei Webroot. Can you tell me what i should to next? 

After installing the WIFI security, it tries to connect to the automatic location and it fails every time.  Can someone please help me with this?   thanks!

Secure Anywhere stopped working on my MacBook after Catalina was updated to 10.15.5. Not the first time this has happened after Catalina updates. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. My pleas through support tickets were met with crickets. I finally said goodby to Secure Anywhere or so I thought. I bought a Norton product but when I tried to install it, it says that Webroot needs to be uninstalled. I have tried everything that I can think of including using the uninstall button on the app or by moving files to trash. Secure Anywhere is like Herpes simplex - it won’t go away! Please help.

In System Analyzer I received the following message in the software section: "An active process has a possible handle leak (explorer.exe).  Does anyone know how to fix it or what it means?   I opened a chat with the Geek Squad and they basically said don't worry about it, but seems if it comes up as an error, something should be done.

When I try to drag or Send to Trash the Webroot SecureAnywhere from my Application Folder in Finder on my MacBook Pro Catalina Version 1015.5 it requires my Apple login password then I get the following message: “The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items.”So your solution at Step 4 does not work for me. What should I do?

Good afternoon, All.I saw the discussion from 7 years ago and no, that didn’t work for me.Offline shields are disabled and remain so despite repeated attempts to enable them. Webroot has been uninstalled. Computer rebooted. Webroot reinstalled. Issue persists whether Admin or user accounts. Same issue with “prevent any program from modifying HOSTs file” under “Settings” subheading “Shields.” Clicking either button under “Support/Community” crashes Chrome. I have an Acer Nitro 5. I have Malwarebytes Pro. I have a message into Webroot Support. Front page of Webroot GUI says “Protected” with a big, green check mark.Do I actually need Offline Shields? Chasing this is really making me want to test the tensile strength of my computer.Any insight would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Webroot Core is continually failing in the Reliability monitor (Security and Maintenance) in Control panel.  Today I have 50 error messages from the time I booted up until now.   They are all related to Webroot Core.  And they all say the same thing.Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Core. Product Version: 1.1.226. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Webroot. Installation success or error status: 1603. I uninstalled and reinstalled.  It is now worse.  No changes to my computer.It started with WRSA.exe stopped working , now I see that occasionally but mostly the error above. What’s going on?  Anyone have this?  

Had power outage recently and since then I can’t download any of my accounts into Quicken.  I get “virus scan failed.”  What can be done to fix this?

My webroot was expired a few weeks ago and I decided to renew it. I activated my keycode like a week ago but I still go messages like "New threats everyday”or whatever. I thought maybe my laptop was going crazy or something and didnt pay much attention. Today I opened the app but now it's all red and it says that it's expired? I put my keycode again and everything turned green again and it was said that the keycode is activated but when I restarted and it showed that it's still expired. I renewed on the official website

Hi everyone.I noticed today (Aug. 4) there was an update for WebRoot SecureAnywhere for Mac. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any product announcement on the community forum to get more information about the update.With this update the version will change to 9.1.3.103.I went ahead and installed the update anyway on my Mac with Catalina 10.15.5. So my experience was basically the same as last month’s update. I just want to share my experience...To download and install the update, I clicked the “Update Now” button (see screenshot below). The console will appear yellow. Be patient... It will take a couple minutes for the product to update. At first you won’t see anything happen after clicking the button and you might wonder if the update is working. Don’t panic. Don’t press the update button more than once. After a minute or two you may see two Webroot icons running in the Dock. Let the update proceed. Both icons will eventually

I have many MB on data on my Mac but the scan states that it runs to completion in about 2 minutes.  This defies logic.  Any ideas how to follow up?

Hello Everyone.I remmeber long time ago when I purchased my Computer which has a SSD Drive, I was told from the Community that If you are using Secure Erase, you shaould leave It at the lowest Value Normal, Other wise you can Damage your SSD Drive. Is that True ?Also, I like to know Inside the System Optimizer what to check and which one not to check. Here is the Screen-ShotsThank you very much. 

I love webroot secure anywhere, but I really don’t like the wi fi security.  It just disconnects too often.  Anyway I know when my webroot secure anywhere expires but I can’t find when my wi fi security (vpn) expires.

Hi I recently had a virus on my computer so when I got it fixed, they installed Webroot automatically. I have played toon town rewritten for a while (stupid I know) and when I went to play again it keeps crashing. when I looked it up it said that it may be something with the antivirus and I agree. I know there is nothing wrong with the site and I believe it to be a false positive. I tried submitting it to Webroot as a false positive but the file was too long as it was the launcher. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know! 

It seems like I need to Force Quit Secure Anywhere every few days,  it takes up a considerable amount of memory. Is anyone else having this issue?     

Is Web Root anti-virus protection?

HI,Webroot (latest version) is not compatible with Voice Control on the Mac OS. Webroot disallows the ability to perform dictation when running on the Mac. When I quit Webroot, dictation with Mac’s Voice Control works fine.Any chance that this issue can be corrected in a timely software update?Thank you.

      After running System Analyzer, I received an orange screen with the message "updates are available for your system & have not been installed". I attempted to install updates but was informed that they were done automatically & I couldn’t manually update. After checking the community web, I was unable to find any reference to this plus any info on manual updates. No other recourse was found so I uninstalled Webroot & reinstalled it. I again ran System Analyzer & received the same message.       I’ve had Webroot for years & never had this happen. I just did a Windows update. Could this be the trouble? How do I rectify this issue? The orange-red screen with the oversized explanation point looks ominous. Hopefully, the aforementioned screen will be pasted below.       HELP!!!!….Bonnie   

purchased program for 3 users. only got 1 key code, said follow link for other key codes but was no link to follow, what am i missing? Richard

why does my webroot still display need to activate?

I just renewed my Webroot, and now I no longer have utilities “System Analyzer” and “Optimize Now”. I also no longer have security features like “whitelisting”.  Are these features gone from the latest version of Webroot? What’s going on?

My webroot, which is usually green, is now blue and gives the message that scan failed and secureanywhere can't reach the internet to obtain threat info.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program...still no action...What is the deal?

I need to unitstall Webroot for a short time.  I have Windows 10.  After uninstalling, I keep getting a popup wanting me to enter my KeyCode and reinstall.  It is very annoying.  How do I stop that?

Hello I was checking my Windows 10 home pc using the Sysinternal Autoruns64.exe which  check for registry items and found that the following registry key exist HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\WRCore but the file C:\Program Files\Webroot\Core\WRCore.x64.sys  is missing ? What can cause this behavior ?  I have uninstall and reinstalled webroot but to no avail?  It still says that WRCore.x64.sys  is missing I then check the folder C:\Program Files\Webroot and found that there is no sub folder C:\Program Files\Webroot\Core  Could this registry key be caused by an old installation of Webroot?
